Timewalking Changes: RIP Timewalking Sets 11.0.5 Changes

Ya, however level 20 also gives you alot of key talents for AoE early on which you don’t have at level 10.

This is probably because of what I experienced last night.

The new Darkmoon Decks were not set to scale down, so you’d get max stats when they procced.

This was me in BT with my dual decks (I took my shadowed essence off cause it literally gave 0 stats in timewalking) I carry the decks cause I swap trinkets a lot. Lol.

Instaed of trying to make sure everything scales down every single time new items are added, it’s just easier to make enemies scale up. (But yes, I do agree this defeats the entire purpose of Timewalking lol)

Because it is.
Because if people who were doing a lot of damage are suddenly not doing a lot of damage, the runs will take longer to complete.
Runs taking longer to complete means slower content, made so as a result of the change aforementioned, hence.

It depends on the class/spec. You wanted to be as low level as possible though. For HPriest, level 12 would give you Holy Nova and Rhapsody. Looking over the tree, literally nothing else matters. Well I guess SW Death or Holy Fire gives you a range pull maybe? MW Monk only needs Spinning Crane Kick but that’s only if you access to the Lifestealing enchant. I know less about other clases.

But yes, 20 was easy because of trial accounts. Few went to the effort of going lower.

Oh ho hello my twinks in timewalking dungeons just got a lot more interesting lol.

so blizz is just lazy

… how in the name of all that is green and good does an entirely different game mode where most expansions don’t even exist to play even remotely equate to anything that has to do with Timewalking?

They need to make these award the IL required to enter Heroics and LFR at 80 in drops, then. But I know they won’t because now norms/heroic/tw are moot points now.

They originally did reward Heroic ilevel gear. Then they nerfed it. No one knows why. We thought it was a bug. They never said a word and here we still are.

Ya, probably for the same reason why Normal Dungeon gear isn’t on the Explorer track (3/8 makes it blue).

Meanwhile. I was getting chunked yesterday in shattered halls. I was getting two shot if the tank lost aggro for even a second.

I’d gladly remove the Level 10 access to TW dungeons to not have this change go through.

That makes sense. I can understand why they made this change. The unfortunate side effect is that I lose the only thing I enjoyed about it. It feels like little by little they chip away at the joy of discovery and long-term play. I did my 5 runs this week and discovered that my SL Sylvanas Dagger only did 0.01% of my DPS which means it’s useless. My HoA didn’t proc any of my Azerite Essences at all (I thought it used to work in TBC Dungeons, maybe I’m wrong). Oh well, plenty of other content for me to do.

Zero fun, sir.

Yeah, i found that out today. And the azerite gear. I purposely kept a set in my bags just for that reason.

Thanks Ion.

I’ve never kept a Timewalking set. The dungeons are easy enough without needing to cobble together select pieces of powerful gear.

Imagine twinking around Timewalking, LOL.

The bigger problem here is that it is scaled through Chromie Time.

This means a much lower level character will be doing extremely high damage / healing anyway, because THAT side of scaling has yet to be fixed.

Max level characters will have a hard time with these dungeons if the lowest level possible queues in.

This is not a good change at all.

Yeah because they’re so good at tuning current content, delves are proof of that… oh wait
