If you want to break it down, everything can be made into a timer. Letting a mob whack on you? That’s a timer. Standing in fire? Timer. A pit? Timer, only a matter of time before you hit the kill floor, right?
There is an increasing damage or debuff component the longer you remain on the floor. “The water’s temperature increases the longer the frog stays in the pot” or “The frog stays in the pot for 10 minutes until it’s cooked”. Same difference.
Timers are timers. But we’re on General Discussion, where any debate isn’t about objective facts, it’s racing about who can move goalposts the fastest.
Why do I need to find a DPS to do content that’s supposed to be solo-able for everyone. As stated by Blizzard.
My pace, should not be an issue. I’d rather sit through an instance for 2 hours than be behind everyone else in progression, just because I choose to play as a healer main.
The problem is Blizzard’s tuning. No one would’ve said a damn thing if we didn’t get this stupid soft timer added. The deaths being limited based on party size was more than enough for pacing. Now they add this. Mythic+ Lite is what it is and I’m saying that as someone who likes Mythic+. This could’ve been something I do with the guildies who literally aren’t that good at their class. Now, I don’t think I will.
There are also mechanics that lowers this effect.
When they literally use the word “timer” in it’s description, how is that not a timer?
Please explain to me how you got rank 8 on your cloak
Because in the first weeks before the healer/tank nerf healers were a hindrance to the party. Visions are balanced to be easier solo and don’t require a healer. You were lucky that you had someone to run with many others were not so lucky because everyone else could just clear farther without them.
So this bike is like a 2 wheeled car, and because I used the word “Car”, I must classify it as a car.
Instead of implementing a soft timer, how about implementing increased rewards for completing it faster. Reward, don’t punish. Jerks.
I said I ran them for the first couple weeks, my son dragged me in. I hated every second and have never been back. I tried them, the timer ruined them, I will never go back. I did not just complain without trying them. I’ll try torghast and the timer will ruin it and I will never go back.
Well yeah… You get the talents from using Mementos to increase your performance
You know if it were not for the fact that I detect sarcasm I would say hey someone finally got it. Alas I don’t think you do.
Oh so you can tolerate a timer! What a coincidence!
Luckily for you the Torghast timer is nothing compared to sanity drain over time so you’ll have no problems at all
I didn’t care for the prior version and I won’t care for this one either. Just sort of viewed torghast as a necessary evil in order to get legendaries and cosmetics.
Except you had to still clear to get momentos.
If you were an undergeared healer the first and second week without a group you were not going to clear the boss to get to rank two let alone start getting momentos to further your progress.
Are you not having fun with GOGOGOGOGOGO Dungeons!?
Ahh yes the good old “I forget the difference in timer’s” Timer has kicked in and they have forgotten everything we have typed in the last hour.
It amazes me every time. At this point I swear they are just trolling the thread for amusement.
Considering this is going to have some unique mogs that will most likely disappear every season, this soft timer, is going to be an ongoing issue complained about by everyone whose not a DPS main or excel in playing their class.
Something that actually looked like great casual content. A twist of a system from FF14 but Blizzard edition. Ruined by 1 stupid thing. Wow. Just, wow.
Mementos drop from mini visions and weekly chests as well
You’re quite literally complaining about a non existent timer with mechanics that helps you stay much longer and making it easier as well. Don’t have much to stand on here.
