Time walking exploiters

I have a guardian druid locked at 69 with an ilvl equivalent to season 1 DF raiding. He is loads of fun. He does not get upgrades from TW or BRD raidfinder, but has gotten all the 405s he can from the world bosses, I think.

Are you listening to yourself? That’s exactly what level 11 twinks are, “characters of a very specific level”.

So your airtight argument, is that a character of a specific level is in fact a character of a specific level?

By your logic, so is a level 10 twink, so is a level 30 twink, so is a level 45 twink, so is a level 59 twink, so is a level 60 twink, so is a level 69 twink, so is a level 70 twink.

Want to know why the BRD bug was fixed so quick? because it was a bug.
Want to know why this isn’t getting fixed? Because its not a bug, or an exploit.

11 is just happens to be the most optimal for TW dungeons, its called min maxing.

Not a bug, not an exploit.

I mean, feel free to go post about it in the Bug Forums though, enjoy getting laughed at.

Meanwhile I will enjoy running super fast dungeons with my optimized characters that I have been playing for years with no issues.

Not an expoit , simply Blizz not being able to balance things. You can take a lvl 10 to dragonflight zones and 1 shot things , it’s just balancing nothing more.

Are they able to stay lvl 10 forever?

Yes. Shut off your xp at the xp eliminator and never level again.

Well that and BRD rewards appropriate ilvl gear where guess what
timewalking doesn’t. I am not sure what these people actually want because their complaint is actually vaguely just – “I can’t destroy TW dungeons at level 80 so it isn’t fair that a level 11 can even if it literally doesn’t impact anything and only helps people trying to level or do the weekly I don’t like it!” Of course by this logic all classic raids should scale up to level 80 and no one can solo them because a level 11 can’t do it either.

The level 11 is good in exactly 1 situation that is specifically running TW dungeons. That is it. People just want to literally complain about everything no matter how mundane or low impact it is.

“I am getting these badges way too fast! I want it to be a slow grind because I don’t think there should be any gameplay that isn’t exactly how I want it! It doesn’t matter what other people want or enjoy! They can scram! It doesn’t matter that Blizzard implemented this style of scaling based on MoP Remix! It doesn’t matter that this is a one off event that won’t be repeated for another year at least! I just don’t want people to have fun in a way that I don’t think is fun!”

I’d argue that it isn’t really a problem; the low level character is going to obliterate the TW which makes the whole thing go faster and is only a problem if it’s an especially zippy class that is actually killing bosses before other party members can get into the boss fight.

And to be frank, does anyone actually want to slog their way through 16 yer old dungeons?

No, but what else can they be angry about in this moment? It is the easiest target right now. So
don’t worry when the event ends it will be something else. Maybe we can go back to complaining about delve gearing because that was fun! These people are literally the anti-fun police. They have no idea how to live any other way.

Of note, I can literally do the same thing on my well geared level 70, my damage meters look nearly identical to when I play my 11.

I guess having good gear is an exploit, since I can literally solo the entire dungeon without even trying.

That’s not an exploit; it’s a feature.

Blizzard deliberately changed Timewalking to the scaling model, and destroyed the old timewalking in the process.

Literally just yesterday I was in TW dungeon someone who was multi-boxing with a level 10 twink for the sake of power leveling alts. He straight up admitted it when I asked.

The second the dungeon started, this level 10 (exp locked) monk was off like a shot and did not stop for ANYTHING. Trash exploded instantly, bosses all dead before everyone else even got to the boss room
I don’t think I cast a single spell the entire run. It was one of the craziest things I’ve seen in ages.

Now heres the important question: did you get loot from this.

are you people new to wow or something

lowbies in heirlooms were doing 20x tank damage in leveling dungeons years ago before chromie time even existed

It’s not an exploit. It’s the result of a combination of scaling, the ilevel rebalancing, and the fact that you can fill all your gear slots sooner than expected.

For some context: a level 11 gets ilevel 18 heirlooms. (ilevel 20 weapons, if using Garrosh heirlooms)
Random Chromie Time dungeons drop ilevel 30 loot for a level 11 character.
Timewalking dungeons drop ilevel 60 loot for a level 11 character.

Also, back in the day, you weren’t expected to have all your gear slots filled until around level 20-30, with necks, rings, trinkets, and helms starting to drop nearer the tail end of that level range (With the level squish, that range is probably ~10-15 now).
but Timewalking dungeons select from instances that have potential drops for every gear slot, so you can have a full set of ilevel 60 gear on a level 11 and just blast instances into next week.

idk why the people are complaining about this

it results in faster dungeon clears which means faster leveling

i thought they want to go go go dungeons. what happened. or maybe its because they arent the ones doing it.

I had a similar experience with my level 72 Warlock. I was topping the dps and smashing stuff. I knew there was some weird scaling going on there because my character was a fairly neglected alt with very average gear, much of it remaining from DF.

As far as the OP’s topic goes, this isn’t an exploit, its a deliberate design choice by the devs when they went from the previous TW system to the current one.

OP doesn’t know the definition of exploit, more at 11.

Also OP bitter that he got out-dps’ed by a level 11 lmbo.

Fragile ego.

Good thing you can’t queue for TW dungeons with a level 10.

It’s not a bug. It’s literally working as intended. Working real bad obviously.

This has been the case for years with low level twinks carrying level scaling content like this. No one has ever gotten ban hammered for it because again, it’s not a bug, it’s just twinking.
