Time walking exploiters

They worked on their level 11 twink possibly more than you worked on your whole account. Don’t remove their fun whicj they can only have in timewalking and leveling content.

It’s fun watching level 11 twinks 1 shot a entire dungeon people Q up for with very little effort?

In fairness, most of the 11 Fury Warriors you’re seeing right now are pretty new and basically just in timewalking gear but with lifestealing slapped on their weapons.

Setting up a new twink in proper twink gear right now is a pretty easy good to go over a weekend kind of thing.

It was more of a massive grind before TWW since most BiS items were just random warforge chances from WoD content and if they wanted the extra gem sockets or speed they had to roll WF + Gem + Tert which was stupidly rare. + Mechagon Rep.

Now it’s all base drops, so the grind is significantly less of a pain. People with all 6 or whatever bonus gem socket rolls will have spent a crazy amount of time, but people in just normal BiS probably did it in a weekend.

And again, the fresh wave of warriors aren’t even doing that, they’re just putting on lifestealing and going because lifestealing hard carries the spec. It’s like the first thing that should probably be nerfed before anything else if Blizzard ever looks into this area of the game.

It’s a manufactured problem. To me I love it.

It is for the one doing it…

Tell me how this isn’t exploiting again?

Tell me how it is.

Look at all these suckers paying a subscription to watch people play when twitch exists

It’s more that the TW gear didn’t get scaled down from when the minimum was level 30.

Anyone with TW badges can go to the vendor in Tanaris (the other TW vendors like the one this week in Northrend Dalaran still have the badge gear set as ‘requires level 30’) and buy weapons and several armor slots of gear that are scaled to level 30 and equip them on their level 10 / 11 character.

Add Lifestealing and any of the drops from TW itself (which are also still scaled to level 30 / 35 - ilevel 60), and the character become not just powerful, but ridiculously OP.

If (and most likely when) they scale down the TW gear to level appropriate ilevels, complaints will decrease as the time required to set up a true twink will increase significantly.

It still won’t stop players from spamming TW on low level characters as the current scaling favors low levels (especially with the idiotic ilevel scaling in place at 80).

But we won’t see players on level 11 warriors doing 10X-20X the damage while killing everything in a hit or two while running through the dungeon.

Instead, we’ll go back to lowbies doing 2X-4X and still getting through faster than higher levels, just not so blanket busted as it is right now.

How about people can just do the content they want to do and people who are tantruming over how lowbies are making it so much easier for them get over it?

Until they fix scaling, probably not.

I would love more level 11s in my timewalking. I’ve leveled 19 toons and am just looking to get my 20th done. Fast dungeons clears are A+.

Sorry, you dont have enough energy to do that.

FWIW, TBC/WotLK gear with gem sockets is actually stronger than TW gear despite it being ilvl 60.
You can also get gem socket gear for ring and neck slots so the TW stuff ends up being used for weapons and trinkets and bracers and thats pretty much it.

You are correct that TW gear not being ilvl 60 would slow down the gearing process for a new twink, but honestly not by much, they just wouldn’t be able to multi-task their badge farm.

But with lifestealing they don’t need gear to begin with anyway. Slap on the 2H heirlooms and they can otherwise be naked and they’d still steamroll.

It’s not an exploit.

Starter greens (starting a level 10) or heirlooms is enough to be OP, add enchants and any consumables and it starts getting silly, everything else (old over-budget items and TW gear) just pushes it up an order of magnitude.

I expect they will nerf the TW gear, which will lower the power of many of the current twinks so we’ll see less posts, but nothing less than totally revamping the level scaling system will stop low levels from being ‘better’ (faster / more relative damage) in scaled content.

There are a handful of people complaining, Blizzard will not change it for them. It isn’t end game content, outside of the Anniversary it is a one a month chore that people largely want to get through as fast as possible. There are hundreds of daily activities that people can do. Heck… you can just go into a mythic raid from Shadowlands and crush it solo.

In fact this sounds like a lot of fun and if you have some friends it may be the perfect way to help level them at the same time. I think I am going to give it a whirl.

TBH, the real problem is the attitude/playstyle of most of these new FotM FWar’s.

More often than not, they run WAY ahead of the group and just do everything themselves, I at least will stay with the group when I run TW dungeons, and backup the healer when needed. I have nothing to prove, I know I can solo, who cares.

When I find myself in a group with one of these fury warrirors who play like a selfish dink, I just give them a taste of their own medicine by running ahead of THEM and one shot everything before they even get to it.

“Your twinks were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should”

I blame MoP remix for this.

If this isn’t an exploit as so many say why did Blizzard fix this in TW BRD? Like seriously make up your mind when it is and isn’t an exploit.

Not the same thing at all.

The BRD bug involved characters of a very specific level inadvertently doing Legacy damage, that was a bug, and it was appropriately fixed.

Level 10/11 scaling is not a bug, nor is it an exploit. Scaling has been like this since the SL prepatch squish and is intentional.

Is it optimal? No definitely not, bad math is bad math, but an exploit it is not.

Its the literal definition of min maxing.
