Time walking exploiters

you keep using this word and im beginning to understand you do not actually understand what it means.

from the dictionary merriam webster - to make use of meanly or unfairly for one’s own advantage

from cambridge dictionary - to use someone or something unfairly to your own advantage

in both definitions of the use of exploit that most closely relates to our context, it is very obviously clear, even to a child, that the deciding factor if something is an exploit or not is if its used unfairly

is it unfair to make a level 11 to breeze through tw dungeons? no it is not. it is available to all, from the very design of the creators of the game.

is it annoying? maybe. but thats an opinion that has nothing to do with it being an exploit or not

That is what one shotting a dungeon is it is a unfair advantage no one else is able to do that.

you are also able to do it.

Try to do it a level 80. I will wait for your video evidence.

Agree.

Any time someone complains about prot paladin damage or that their class is at the bottom of the meta the reply should be:

“Pipe down and enjoy your carry.”

I think they do care - just not as much as some in the thread would like them to care.

I expect to see a nerf to TW gear such that the ilevels are reduced for sub 30 characters - they somehow missed scaling this gear down when they made the change to drop the minimum level from 30 to 10 (though the expansion specific vendors still all require level 30 to purchase the vendor gear).

Beyond that though, I don’t see them doing much else - depending on how many players are still creating lowbies to run TW, they might remove more rewards, increase the level requirement, disallow XP off - though all highly unlikely.

And while I’d like to see them ditch ilevel scaling at 80 as it disincentivizes play by max level / max geared characters, I don’t see them reverting it as they love padding in extra time whenever and wherever they can.

As for the general level scaling issues, they have show they just don’t care enough to spend the resources making any significant changes.

again. you can do this. no one is stopping you from making a level 11.

idk why you are so unable to just say you are wrong. stubbornness? your ego? the world wont end if admit you are wrong.

How is this unfair? You’re character was literally doing the same thing when you were at those levels.

What do you want them to do about this game mode they intentionally created?
Also, why do you care?
Go work on getting a real ilvl on your LEVEL 80, and stop trying to police people coping on blizzard nurfing TW Badges, TW XP, and TW scaling without warning, a month after we all bought the game. Christ.

Also, you may not be able to “one shot” bosses, but if you were to say… gear yourself up to a higher level (somewhere in the mid to upper 620’s for example) you could probably bulldoze through most of the current dungeons with a prot paladin even with the nerfs they’ve received to their raw damage output without having other players participating.

Am I?

Yes. You are in fact wrong.

I honestly wish I knew. Some folks just need to optimize the fun out of everything I guess?

For cheesing a broken scaling system that Blizzard should have fixed?

It’s not an exploit…

Highly suggest giving it a shot if you havent. Maybe you’d have fun

Hopefully not. But I think that all these unknowns posting on how Blizzard needs to completely eliminate low levels from the game so you can parse on your low level alts in dungeons is a sign that the hammer is going to come down hard. Blizzard is going to fix low level players, probably eliminate their option of queueing for any dungeons at all.

This will give you way more to complain about when characters start showing up at max level with ABSOLUTELY ZERO dungeon experience and start applying to join your groups. Or queueing at max level for the very first time ever in your timewalking dungeons. This will work even better at giving you something to complain about than keeping players from moving directly from leveling dungeons on reaching max level and having them gear up in delves and world content did.

This is how it always happens, when complaints come absolutely out of nowhere. They are priming players to be ready to accept the change.

Full disclosure: Yesterday a level 70 character of mine tanked heroic Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr. None of the characters had ever been in that dungeon before. I had to ask after they failed the mechanics on the first 2 bosses, so I was able to stop before the other bosses and explain what was going to happen.

It wasn’t clear that any of them had ever been in a dungeon before. At one point they were lost because I went around the corner and none of them knew how to figure out where I was by looking at the minimap. A frost dk was doing 4.5% of the damage, compared with my 30% and a paladin’s 45%.

I guess Blizzard’s secret plan to power new players into elite skills is to boost their gear and have them skip directly into heroic dungeons.

If Blizzard is expecting players like me to take take the time needed to train players like this how to play their characters, understand how dungeons work in general, and the specifics of trash and bosses in each dungeon, they are so far off the deep end they are already circling the drain. Seriously, pay me.

The healer shortage is so bad now in DF dungeons that if you lose a healer they probably won’t be replaced.

Boy, I hope not.

I ran into one of these the other day.

It’s not a fresh L11.

It’s a twink. I don’t know how long they had to lock the toon to grind the gear, but it doesn’t matter.

I got my weekly quest done in 20m for the 3 remaining I had and am grateful for it.

I see the OP never played Pandaria Remix.

Blizzard isn’t likely to change this because frankly it isn’t a problem; low level players being able to obliterate time walks saves us all time on what is honestly a chore.
