It can be done in a group though.
And M0 should be queued on LFD. There is absolutely ZERO reason not to.
Forum, please wash yourself.
It is itchy here.
On Topic:
I think the Wrath model was the best approach. No timers, just an optional hardmode option. It was actually pretty difficult, enough to warrant the âhardmodeâ title. I still have nightmares of wiping on Mimiron to this day.
Has anyone even mentioned the âfishâ in keys below 10s? The game actually kind of rewards your group for going over the timer with a buff you can pick up by talking to a fish.
I dont know if they do this or notâŚbut if they HAVE to have timers, couldnt they just make it so the faster you get X done the better the rewards are?
That way if you succeed, you succeed, but with more or less rewards instead of âfailingâ and having to do something over and over and over and over and over andâŚGGGAAHHHHHHH!
lol.
I could deal with timed content if its âdoneâ when I finish it and i get paid based on my performance rather than having to do it again and again until âsuccessâ.
yeahâŚthats not how things are done, I guessâŚbut its that or they can COUNT on many players just choosing to not participate in some content again, which is a pretty dumb thing to do.
This way the better players get the better payoutsâŚand the no so good players arent wasting their time entirely.
The fact that they wonât is one of the few things that allows me to continue comfortably playing the game.
It amuses me that people are constantly looking to tear down the elements of the game that others enjoy and refuse to try to come up with anything new that doesnât replace or outright remove an existing feature or game mode.
People are intellectually dishonest and creatively bankrupt on these forums, and quite honestly, I find it sickening.
I think timers are a good way to add difficulty to a content. I think It depends more if youâre fine with solo content to have hard content or not. You could say that mage tower challenge had some type of timer, like Xylem had an enrage at the end.
But for the sake of diversity, not all content should be timed. And obviously easy content shouldnât be timed.
Currnent M+ does allow for more loot to be offered the faster, and the higher key you run.
ohâŚok. Ive tried reading some about it, not much. It sounded like a do or die thing.
glad to hear theyve already figured that one out, lol.
Seems pretty obvious as a solution to some timed content.
you donât even have to make the timer to get rewards. Youâll get the same loot whether you finish in time or take an hour; the only difference is whether or not you upgrade your key.
also, I generally recommend actually experiencing the systems that youâre criticizing in a game
Meh, I hear you. However, you know who doesnât? Blizzard. What you see here is the product of years of not listening to the players and whatâs worse, pretending to listen, by every now and then giving them some niche little cosmetic thing in order to reel them in.
I have seen time and time again, AMAZING ideas get ignored even when they have the full support of the community.
I mean⌠BfA Beta was a prime example.
ohhhh. I see. Thats good to hear then.
Ive had this HORRIBLE impression of the content that has kept me from ever wanting to go that far.
Not entirely.
The faster you go, and the higher the key, the more chance at loot you get. True the iLVL is the same, but if you 3 chest a run at a high enough level everyone gets loot, where as if you fail a run only 2 pieces drop.
or big ugly AH mounts to keep them coming back, lol
That isnât even the problem here for me. I pitched an idea to handle the perceived problem this OP and others engage in nonstop whinging about in good faith that they werenât completely full of crap, and asked for suggestions, feedback, criticism, everything under the sun to make it good enough and fleshed-out enough for Blizzard to consider it.
Not only did it not even garner enough likes to form a minuscule blip on Blizzardâs forum-trawling radar, 90% of the constructive criticism I got that helped me flesh out the idea came from people who liked the timer and didnât want it to change.
The group of people interested in this arenât trying to raise themselves or a new game mode up â theyâre interested in tearing M+ down around the people who actively enjoy it.
Thatâs what I mean when I say creatively bankrupt and intellectually dishonest.
I really like this idea.
And with the changes Blizzard themselves are pushing in SL by trying to bring back the RPG elements of the game, whatâs wrong with trying to go back to a game mode that we once loved and has since been taken away from us? Did you forget that M+ replaced something we once loved?
No, it didnât. It replaced Challenge Modes, which were timed anyway. Blow smoke up somebody elseâs backside.
What about the people that destroyed Dungeons for everyone else because they love M+?
That is exactly what happened. We donât get new dungeons every patch like before because of M+. Running Heroics is a non-existent thing, because of M+, and they arenât enjoyable because they are all trivial from day 1. Not even being able to queue M0 on LFD is because of the people that love M+.
Even raiders are affected because of M+.
Seems a bit disingenuous to say some are dishonest for wanting to change the system that changed for them in the first place.
It replaced Challenge AND Dungeons. Challenge modes were cosmetic and bragging. M+ now also is the MAIN end-game gearing of the game. Even if you raid.
