um, isnt that bannable. sounds like blizzard just needs to break the addons and start banning. if a player cannot manually search for an item and buy it or sell it, then they need to give their head a shake. those addons needs to go.
Ikr.
Like imagine everytime you use an AH for ANY reason, you have to play the stupid “Click till all the hydrants are gone!” game. Even just to buy 10 linen cloth.
And of coarse the people who agrees with that take or thinks addons must go (when it’s discovered it’s an issue on THEIR end, not addons via by tweet.), would be calling others “bots”. Much like Activists using extremism to be worse then (or as they put it “Fight”) extremism; they don’t have arguments, only labels to throw.
Someone on the team tweeted about this.
TLDR: Someone changed something and inflated a database spreadsheet and they need new code to properly account for it. In the meantime they’re adding hardware on this maintenance. It has nothing to do with addons.

Gonna be honest, the way the tweet phrased that makes me think their going to install a GPU in lines of code lol.
I know what they probably mean, their gonna get more servers.
They’ll just download more RAM
Is there any evidence to support the claim that addons are the problem?
I mean, other than them being a big forum boogieman.
There’s evidence to the contrary actually.

Okay, can we clear this up? I can’t speak for the OP, but my issue with addons and the AH have NOTHING to do with performance and everything to do with the rapid fire scripting of buying and reposting crafting reagents. I could care less about “degraded performance” or whatever people think this thread is about.
rapid fire scripting of buying and reposting crafting reagents.
And how do you know that it isn’t just multiple people buying/selling at about the same time?
Remember that the reagent AH is for everyone on NA now.
I don’t - however there have been 262,000 downloads of the latest version of TSM. If only 10% of those actually installed it, and if only 10% of those are actively using it, and only 10% of those are using it to buy and resell reagents, then that’s still ~260 instances of an automated script that will always be more efficient at the process than a human will be even with throttling.
Thank you that is my issue as well
It’s been due.
Is this your first expansion launch because prices fluctuate wildly at the beginning of every expansion’s, and even some major patches, since the burning crusade? It’s gonna spike again once season 1 starts. And again when Mythic raid opens.
I don’t use TSM so I had to look into it. It doesn’t automate any buying or selling. You still have to click buttons.

I mean my “download more RAM” comment was a joke . . .

Nope - played every expansion since Vanilla and it’s been my experience that it has never been this bad. My experience has been that prices are high, sure. High prices are expected.
But it wasn’t until Patch 9.2.7 when Auction Houses across all realms on a given region began to share commodity listing that things really started to go downhill.
Oooh I see. You think TSM automatically buys and sells for you. It doesn’t and never has. You still have to provide inputs like pressing a button just like a player without TSM and it throttled. You probably thought Healbot was a bot that automatically healed back in the day to, didn’t you?
Not at all, and TSM does automate some actions. Yes, you still have to push buttons, but the whole reason people use TSM is because it streamlines the process, right? It makes those actions easier with LESS input from the user. I’m not at all suggesting someone just sets a script to run and walks away from their computer. Now you’re just getting nitpicky and insulting.
No. You don’t use the addon but you talk like you’re an expert at what it does and what it’s capable of doing. Remove the tinfoil hat and educate yourself
It automates quite a bit and has a sniping tool that will Continuously scanning the AH
