or just make it so can only sell items in Max stack and can only post 10 items per a day and can only buy 10 items per a day off AH per account
Limit the amount of scanning addons can do on the ah. They had to throttle it before

Could you elaborate on how/why?
bots are buying LOW and re-selling higher addon they are using auto does it

I don’t even use any ah addons and I post more than ten items a day.
Just because you don’t use the AH doesn’t mean you can screw everyone else over.

What is the issue with it? I haven’t had any problems using the AH since it went live. Not that I use it a ton, but I just haven’t had any issues when I do use it.
The max stack idea may not be needed with the limit of 10 items per day, if that applies to sales as well. I think it is generally a good idea.
Search and post are now heavily throttled (the new limits are 2-4x slower)
So maybe buy has a little more time to work now.
The problem is not the load; it’s a Blizzard software issue that they’ll start to address on Tuesday. Meanwhile, apparently heavier throttles are the Band-Aid.

Limiting people being able to use the AH in any capacity is stupid.

Without some limits, the AH becomes unusable for normal players - too many bots putting too much lag on the system.

So what’s going on with the Auction House is an interesting tech problem, a well meaning and simple design change caused a DB table that used to hold 20-60k rows to now contain tens of millions. Not a problem by itself but we’ve got some code changes to make to support this new world we live in. We’re going to throw more hardware at the problem with maintenance while people far more clever than me work on actual solutions.

Listings are incredibly slow to update, so when you try to buy something it will often tell you that the item isn’t found. At least that’s what was going on this morning.
