You actually need to repeat yourself, because in your bad faith posting you lack the competence to discuss with me. We can go all the way down there, which will always end with the wayfarers NPCs and official items only wearable for Alliance-characters. Go on, try again.
They are neglected, because the HMT and NB needed the help first and foremost, with the LFD getting some bones out. The High Elf options were mere copypastes in a database with no effort lost. Everyone can do this.
yeah they needed help but lets be serious - dracthyr prove the devs couldve mass customized every race to a high level with enough left over to make a wnole new race. the dracthyr have over 999 trillion possible customizations. its over this:
(rounded)
200,000,000,000,000,000
for one race
vs. void elves
(rounded)
6,000,000
vs. kul’tirans
(rounded)
2,000.000
vs. vulpera
(rounded)
200,000
vs dark iron
(rounded)
100,000
the amount is staggering. to give you a visual, if all velf customizatiions were added to drachtyr , the dracthyr would still have over a trillion more possible customizations of their very own. in fact if velf, kt, vulp, mecha and dark iron were added, the drachtyr would still have over a trillion more possible customizations of their very own.
---------------------▼
200,000,000,006,000,000
so lets stop pretending they couldnt do it right now and realize its that they arent that interested
of the bottom 6, 4 of them are alliance allied races. and one is an alliance race (worgen form). historically, they’ve had trouble with furry customizations which sorta explains vulpera, pandas and worgen form. they need to hire a really good furry artist.
right here. but my joints are frozen and the ocular piece on the eyebeam spray malfunctioned in protest. the alliance is being neglected yet again and lumping all elf updates into one pot so we can pretend its okay to neglect void elves, has scrambled my logic circuits. malfunction need accurate input.
“Blood elves are our high elves”
So in any discussion of High Elves, blood elves will always be relevant.
There was no bad faith on my end, just stating facts.
ironic since it was yourself that started in bad faith with the “end of discussion” comment, meaning you never wanted a discussion.
It really doesn’t matter how many times you try, if people cant accept that the historical wow high elf race went to horde and not accept what they have already been given as a compromise, then thats a personal problem.
We are aware of your bad faith posts in the past and it’s reasonable to end the discussion with you on a simple note, because you do not post facts alone.
You’re not discussing the actual topic between us here. Nobody disagrees with you here that the High Elves went to Horde and are the Blood Elves now. But nobody also agrees with you that they belong to the Horde either due the Quel’dorei being an active group on the Alliance’s side.
And if you would have paid attention, you would came to the following conclusion: The Void Elf-recruits are either former High- or Blood Elves or can be played as High Elves, due the nature of Blizzard’s implementation with the “subraces” and the two NPCs represented in the rift.
I don’t know who “we” are, but all I can say is that your assumptions are wrong.
I mean, they have always been described as a remnant of a remnant outside of Quel’Thalas, so its not unreasonable do challenge any “Alliance High Elves” being an active group of any kind, unless its to do with void elves, in which case that is your comprise.
And again, that they merely exist on an Alliance faction does not mean that they always belonged to them. Goblins exist in SI:7
My initial point is that Alliance is not entitled to High Elves. They were never promised and were not a part of the Alliance since there inception.
This is a fact.
I will still find it funny every time any high elf topic rises again and have people claim that they always belonged to the Alliance and have an entitled attitude towards them. Its obvious that was not the case when BC came out.
Honestly what should have happened given how Void Elves came into being is EVERYTHING should have been cut and pasted into the Void Elves from the Blood Elves since the Void Elves come DIRECTLY from them.
I wouldn’t mind that but i don’t think it’s something that is needed, i think it’s fine for VE’s to have some things that BE’s don’t have and vice versa.
Most of this crap wouldn’t have happened if Blizzard hadn’t been so obstinate for 15 years and just gave the Alliance the High Elves it so richly deserved after betraying the Alliance in TBC to begin with. But that’s how the game goes, they did EVERYTHING and ANYTHING to make the Horde “interesting” and “better” for the entirety of the game and constantly continue to do so…Forsaken Heritage vs. Night Elf Heritage armor quests cough*.
I do not follow this faulty logic regarding how things actually are in the game. You have in several Alliance cities High Elves and it does not matter if they a "remnant"™ group or not. This argument fell through ever since the Void Elves were made of ~10-15 people. This is no race, it’s just a minority group, far smaller than the Silver Covenant and every Alliance High Elf in the regions.
An expectation to the norm. Not comparable in the slightest if we continue to discuss this.
And yet they are playable and teased on. That’s where you automatically have lost the discussion because you already forgot how Blizzard went the extra mile to add even more hair colors during 9.1.5 to cement the fact that they are playable on the Alliance.
The High Elves belong to the Alliance, the Blood Elves belong to the Horde, although the Alliance can play both of them now, which was a very bad decision made by the developers (G1 Void Elves). You cannot use Quel’dorei vanity items as Horde-player, because you are not a High Elf but a former High Elf, now rebranded as Blood Elf, who forego the old ways. You should have rather focused on the fact that Blood Elf wayfarers join the Void Elves instead of the Quel’dorei.
possible combos. see for each customization added that can interact with the other customizations, such as hairstyles or tats etc, each change is counted as a possible customization set. the people at the top, have many multiple combos. lets say they make a char with 1 of 5 antler styles . if they also pick 1 of 3 hair decorations, and dont change their tats or skin/fur color, etc. thats still a possible customization. or just 1 change and everything else standard, still a possible customization.
void elves dont have any of those extras, we just have skin colors , eye and haircolors. nothing else has been added to mix up the possible customizations. well i suppose the toggle to turn off tentacles, but they didnt put hair in its place, so it leaves a hole that can look odd, like our ponytail without tentacle, looks like someone ripped their hair out.
blood elves have over 8 billion more possible customizations than void elves and humans have like 190 billion more than blood elves. and night elves have 6 trillion more. dracthyr have so many more, that all the other races combined, dont have as many. considering the huge differences, youd think people wouldnt be saying anything negative if folks below the 6 trillion mark would like more. but dracs, its like 200 Quadrillion more than everybody else and that isnt an exaggeration
I dont understand why people still argue about what is and isnt a high elf.
Blood elf = high elf
Void elf = high elf
High elf = high elf
Theyre all the same people.
Both factions have them playable.
Those who wanted them playable on the alliance without any void powers, sorry. Void elves got void powers.
Those who wanted the horde to be the only faction with playable high elves. Sorry, but void elves got added years ago now. And its been a few years since they got normal skin and hair. Its too late. The void elves happened and they are just as much high elves as you are.
And those of us that enjoyed the void aspect of void elves and hoped for a void fueled future? Sorry, too late. Weve been thematically watered down. Theres no going back from it.
People need to accept the hand they were dealt and move on.
not so. they just have been neglected because they’re an alliance allied race. i mean, think about it - dracthyr have over 200 quadrillion possible customizations. if even a fraction of those, say, 2 billion, were added to voidy part of void elves, theyd be instantly back in the saddle, its just that the devs dont seem to like the allied races they gave us.
mecha need more, no doubt, but they already have 6 million more possible customizations than void elves. it just seems like we got alot because people who dont like void elves, pitched a fuss that we got anything at all.
You clearly have never tried to make a Mechagnome. They have 6 or 7 faces. Pretty sure VE have over 15 options just for face. Mechagnomes have the least amount of custom options of any AR.
They dont really.
50% of the void elf faces are repeates of themself.
When they added normal skin tones to void elves, they didnt want to put in the effort of lining up the faces with the skin tones. So they just copied the options over from blood elf and called it a day.
Pick a blue skin tone, then change it to white. The face option you selected will now be different because the void skins and the non void skins are tied to different versions of the same faces.
You’re right, they have 17, not 15 for male. I just looked. Anyway, it’s a weird argument to try and claim VE have less ways to customize than Mechagnomes.
Seriously, go over Mechagnome creation screen, if you need a refresher. I’m not saying VE shouldn’t get stuff. I’m saying there are AR that are worse and should be a priority.
