No, we say elves don’t need anything new bc every single time there is a customization pass the elves get something while some of us are left with nothing since our release. Why is that so freaking hard to understand?
i dunno. never been to a con. also, this is about our fantasy chars, where we can choose and customize a race. people often select idealized versions of themselves or some figure they respect. idealized means, even if you’re unattractive, you can select an attractive version of your idealization. same for big muscles. scary. etc.
oh you guys need lots of customizations to be even remotely treated fairly, but that doesnt mean i cant ask for even 1 new hairstyle. lol void elves came 2 years before kts and we still havent gotten a single new hairstyle. and our hair is mostly atrocious. in fact, all the alliance allied races are at the bottom of the list, except lightforged draenei. void elves are in the bottom 5 for customizations., right along with kts and dark iron . our horde equivalents with the exception of vulpera, are in the top 5 or so.
Last i checked. High elves have always been in the alliance since warcraft three naughty with vareesa and her silver covenant elves. They left quel thalas before arthas sacked it. Most of them went to Dalaran to teach humans how to be mages. If any deserves quel thalas. Its them.
Blood elves isnt the end all be all to the legacy of the quel’dorei. That belongs to the elves of Dalaran.
somebody did a mock up of void elves with kt hairstyles and they looked amazing, same for nelf hairstyles. i’d love to see human hairstyles on velfs, hehe. oh they have doozies.
Veressa and the silver covenant were high elves within the Kirin Tor ranks not affiliated to any faction. Veressa being Rhonin’s wife was locked in Dalaran since the events of Warcraft 3 until Wrath of the Lich King.
The high elves within the Kirin Tor were split among those that adopted the sin’dorei philosophy and became the sunreavers, while the others formed the silver covenant, and then affiliated themselves with the new alliance formed at the end of Warcraft 3.
They were less than 1% of the surviving High elves after the third war, where 90% of the high elves were decimated, only 10% survived. Out of the survivors (10%), 9% became Blood Elves or Sin’dorei. Out of these 1%, half of them decided to adopt the sin’dorei philosophy and became the sunreavers. lol.
If anyone does not deserve anything at all in Quel’thalas, are the void touched elves. Veressa decided to change political ties and align herself with a new political being, even though her husband’s Kirin Tor remained neutral.
As already explained, half of these Dalaran elves decided to adopt the sin’dorei philosophy. So, by all your words, they carry the legacy of the Que’ldorei.
You may not have gotten new hairstyles but void elves have been given practically every high elf wannabe option they have stamped their little feet for while others still don’t have anything new.
I agree blizzard has neglected the alliance allied races, ridiculously so, but the elven races need to be put at the back of the line for a while.
I have and I don’t really care for the agenda of eboy/egirl culture. The second this abominable race gets paladin you and every HMP are switching to it, undeservedly at that. The blood elves are the real high elves, the alliance was never going to get them back or keep them. They never should and never will, even if they do it’ll always be some cheap imitation copy, while the race they added(void elves) gets shafted for selfish whiny people.
They do belong to the Alliance, if you like it or not. Otherwise we would have seen in the game or other media that they are at war with the Alliance-based characters.
We really don’t need to discuss this simple matter. The Alliance has the playable High Elf subrace through the Void Elves and are the only ones who can use the Quel’dorei transmog items. End of discussion, this topic wasn’t really required in the first place for actual inGame facts.
While you are right, it doesn’t apply to the High Elves you find on the Alliance-side. What you describe are the playable Blood Elves, which is not part of the topic.
again, void elves arent being neglected because of high elf fans. they are being neglected because they are an alliance allied race
observe. light forged draenei are the only alliance allied race that has enough new customizations, they are in the top 10. meanwhile, void elves are almost at the bottom even after the high elf skin and eyecolors. we still have no tats, no hair decorations, no head dresses, no face/jaw jewelry, no body tats, the same hair they started with 5 years ago with not one update. we still have less than half the hairstyle customizations blood elves started with 13 years ago.
meanwhile dracthyr come out and have more customizations by themselves, than all the other races combined. this means they couldve updated alliance allied races like kts, dark irons, void elves, mechagnomes and horde vulpera and stil had enough left over to do the same for every race in the game.
