You are operating under a lot of false assumptions here, so your “solution” isn’t really viable. Mass reports mostly just result in a temporary squelch of an account, if anything. Any penalty actions that are taken would be based on verification of what was reported.
You are correct, there is no way to “prove yourself” because the appeal process is about reviewing the data we have. When it comes to a lot of behavior, specifically social behaviors, either you did something or you didn’t. There is no defense or justification. So when you appeal we look at if the actions taken were accurate.
I won’t argue with you there. We all want more information provided, specifically for social violations. It used to be that the penalty system would automatically include some of the reported text when we initiated an action. That was an automatic function, usually when a Game Master applied the penalty.
Unfortunately, it tended to grab lines that didn’t necessarily contain any violations. You see, people report others for any number of things, and if the chat lines that were reported weren’t verified as violating policy then nothing happens. Those chat lines still remain in the report history for awhile after the report is made.
If new lines of chat are reported, and those are verified as violating policy, then all of the recently reported chat is included in the report. The system was taking from some of the earlier reports, which is why you have some folks claim they were penalized for saying “LOL”, because that was part of the line that was given to them.
That system was causing all kinds of confusion and misinformation so it had to be disabled. It is something that I know we want to return, but we don’t have any estimates on when that might be and in what form.
For you, Myiasis, I would look to your TRP profile. You absolutely do appear to have violated policy in the content of what is there.
