Thoughts on Horde getting "High Elf" eyes?

Give Horde blue-eyed Blood Elves, and give Alliance normal-skin-toned Void Elves. Seems like a win-win.

have you seen the gnome female in shadowlands previews at wowhead? the females are cross eyed. i’m not kidding. i sure hope thats not their new model. :astonished:

Nobody would read it otherwise.

Probably not, but in the current build they are tagged as available to belf players.

I mean even if NPC horde get blue shades of eyes its still a bit weird in my Opinion.

Why? Not all blood elves got corrupted? Blood elf is a political title any high elf could identify as a blood elf if they were never corrupted.

Never going to happen! Doesn’t make any sense at all.

Blood Elves were High Elves that had to use (or were in the vicinity of) Fel magic and therefore evolved to have green eyes. After Velen sanctified the Sunwell, they further evolved to have yellow eyes (because the light can cleanse the fel).

The Blood Elves are no longer High Elves. Just as much as the Green Orcs are no longer Brown Orcs. As far as we know, it’s not possible to revert back to a pre-fel status.

Ion said that blue eyes are for npc only, but i doubt it. He said that blue eyes for belves doesn’t make sense, but a lot o things doesn’t make sense in wow lol. If they add blue eyes for belves and add High elves to the alliance everyone will be happy.

<----is reminded of that old commercial about people arguing about whether they wanted crunchy or soft taco shells and the cute little girl shrugs and asks “Why can’t we do both?”

In this case, if they’re not going to make the Alliance-loyal high elves a separate slot (which seems likely since BFA gave the biggest opening to add them as an allied race if they were going to but they chose to go with ‘previously never-mentioned blood elf void cult’ instead), give void elves 1-2 normal skin tone options and give them and blood elves access to blue eyes (and purple
those purple eyes look so cool ;
; ) .

But hey, I’m one of those crazy people who thinks all playable races should have a bunch more customization options. Give everybody ice cream.

It may have been when they first split, but that is factually incorrect as the WoW story progressed.

Aside from different political affiliations and identities, Blood Elves have generally dabbled in different types of power sources than High Elves have, like Fel and Light, whereas High Elves have either cut off their magic addiction or have found different arcane sources like magical artifacts.

This “evolution” is reflected in their eye-glows up until shadowlands possibly.

We knew this even before the latest alpha datamine, but people don’t listen and they certainly don’t do research.

Blood Elves are high elves and should have this as an option though

There is no might, they are npc only.

99% sure those bottom 2 rows of eyes are NPC only

I already have blue eyeballs so I’m happy. Mine are cooler anyway.

Still would love to have red ones though, so I can tell everyone I have pink eye as well as cooties.
That would make me so happy.

As ion stated, this doesn’t make lore sense for Blood Elves.

As much as people want to keep believing blood elves are still the High Elves they used to be, they’re not, their story has beyond moved past that and it’s sad to see people not understand that when even Blizzard actively tries to show their establishment as 2 separate groups.
