It would be unethical to wait for a team that has known ddoser that should be perma banned from competing in the first place.

The MOVE is also notorious for being arrogant jerks so, I probably wouldn’t wait either.
I highly doubt they would have waited if Saul/Laros dc’d.

What I think I’m taking away from all of this…if players are going to be mad at someone they need to be angry at Blizzard for their lack of developing a Pause system for Professional matches…expecting players to abide by make believe rules in a professional match is ridiculous especially when money is on the line. Blizzards lack of care or development for even their professional streaming of AWC is just a testament to how much they actually care about PvP as a whole…fun fact…they don’t.
Teams could exploit this for when they’re losing tho. Imo, someone could fake d/c and catch a second wind when being down. But the second part is less likely to be common because obviously the other team doesn’t have to respect it.
No like when I say pause system…it freezes the entire state of the match with nothing running. Like the entire Arena freezes. Cooldowns don’t run, nothing happens, health stays the same, CCs stay paused as well. Yea sure someone could pause to try and discuss a gameplan…but if they do this it would be pretty obvious and most likely they’d already be insanely behind

Yea and they could give a maximum 1min time frame for the player to reconnect to the match during the pause to allow for limited game plan discussion so people can’t abuse it. And if they have more than like 2 pauses in a match it’s just an auto forfeit.
But yea Blizzard refuses to invest even a dime past the prize money on development into it’s AWC production let alone PvP in general so doubt this will ever happen.

This would almost certainly be the right thing to do. ill be pessimistic on blizz ever caring enough to do it though. Heck. arena skirms start with missing players when they could just use the modern queue system to ensure that all 4 / 6 accept, but they actually dont care to even look at the system to begin thinking about it lol.

hpal is the best healer to be in deep damp because of so many F U buttons
feral can just put up 700k dps in bleeds in 4 globals and then walk away.
so them waiting would put them at a massive disadvantage, esp since laroz already busted on his leap bolt
You play to win, it’s a tournament. If it wasn’t OK’ed then it’d be in the rules that you can’t win on a DC. I don’t think you’ll find a single team that’ll wait for a dc.
I just watched the game, and a 40 second opener kill is completely irrelevant to this statement. Disc turbo will be all about the tempo vs FMPala, which they can both win and lose as based on how wizk/absterge play.
Turbo doesn’t win or lose any harder in dampening than FMPala does, and as fury they have so much pressure they can force ferals to play scared when their defensives are out, which should be happening throughout the game.
Only reason Welcome to the Jung waited for him was because Prev knows he’s the better SP. Mind games IRL
They really do have The Moves number. Prev and Drake are on another level. And Zhang is so insane as well.
Zero reason to wait when the other team out-comps you so hard there is like zero chance you should win. (especially as dampening increases)

There was a team the other day that waited on a dc. I can’t remember who it was.
Also imagine not waiting and 3v2ing, then losing anyways. Oof. Never cared for F-tier. Idc that they play “off-meta”.
