nah get the BAG xD
Seems simple to me though. If teams want to wait for DCs, 100% that is fine, but to expect them to wait while dampening is ramping up and CDs are resetting, and then to chastise them for not waiting is wrong.
This 100%, not only that…but in a professional match where $$$ is on the line. No shot anyone blames them for going in on that. Like I said I do this in casual shuffle matches when I see someone DC.
I feel like it’s customary to wait. Who knows tho, I don’t have a dog in the fight.
I mean doing that is like admitting you don’t think you can win on a level playing field. I myself have killed dc’ed people in 3s and such, but it’s always because I know there’s a low chance of winning if they weren’t disconnected.
In a tournament though, what if the shoe was on the other foot? If Saul was dc’ed, the respectable thing to do would be to wait for him to get back. So regardless of who’s doing it, it’s lame behavior.
It has been customary in the AWC for a long time. Sure, there is no hard and fast rule… But it has been a kind of “observed, but not enforced”.
That said, F-tier would 100% be in the right capitalizing… It isn’t F-tier or Blizzards responsibility to provide Pika with reliable net/power… That is pika’s responsibility. F-tier gotta eat, and they don’t get the non-tourney money that The Move does. If I was F-tier, I would have taken advantage too.
Customary was thrown out when all these players went and rerolled Ferals FOTM. If we wanna talk about sportsman like conduct then the reroll after Pikaboo played Rogue for 1 AWC cup and swapped to Feral because he saw Drake rerolling was scum.
Sure, i dont look down upon anybody waiting for DCs to come back. i just dont like the idea of crapping on people who dont, especially with dampening affecting different healers differently, and the possibility of the ‘waiting’ team giving up advantages on CDs and whatnot. in some ways its a reset of the match w/ additional dampening in place. Could actually change the outcome of the match
Rat tier deserve nothing, They should have waited for my king pikaboo! scumbags deserved to lose!
Sure, have a player intentionally handicap their team… What?
And considering one team was playing feral/sp and banking on damp, why wait?
Rogue is in NO WAY a handicap at all…I mean look at the Boomie/Combat Rogue who just won EU
Outlaw rogue is actually just as good as feral, if not better atm
Maybe i should fotm reroll one. my rogue doesnt have its 2500 weps yet so this is free
I personally don’t care enough to have an opinion. I’m not sure what I would do in a situation like that. Like, if I hated the other team I would 100% do it and then even tbag them after lmao. Otherwise, I’d prob wait. Few thousand dollars isn’t worth the bad ethics.
Totally agree. i play a lot of smash bros melee and sometimes, even at the top level, one person accidentally axes themself (usually just falls off the stage and dies), and the other player will give them a homie stock and axe themself as well.
thats why its called a homie stock though. its for homies. probably the same thing going on in awc
If pikaboo wasn’t making 1 million a month we woulda waited, sorry!
I see your point. The money is definitely a good reason to not stop. I just figured you guys (r1 AWC players) were all friends and would honor waiting for a DC.
This is what I find kinda sketchy about it. I’d never do that to a friend. I’m loyal to a fault tho and don’t expect everyone to be like that. Overall, I can see all the points discussed so far and my overall opinion is…so what? They need the money and ethics/values don’t overcome the fact they need to eat.
not when thousands of dollars are on the line, we’ve waited in the past during the cups when it’s only like a $200 difference, now it’s a $10000 difference.
