This '' WOW Killer '' lost 70 % of players in 2 Months and still going

One would hope but given the way SL went, it’s not looking like that occurred.

Be prepared to be shifted off GD to the Off Topic forum very soon, because your post is off topic and it happens.

I’ll believe it when I see it.

the last time i did a topic like this , got removed after 300 messages so it’s ok

One can dream.

They did Arcane well so they aren’t talentless hacks.

FF experienced a content drought TWO WEEKS after the first 4 bosses of the raid released.

Square Enix releases 1 progression raid per expansion. WoW has problems but this idea that FFXIV is beating it in this regard is a big fat joke.

It’s actually kind of crazy that people think FF comes close, I dunno. I’ve never seen Ion Hazzikostas come out on stage and tell people to play another game if they’re bored of WoW, but Final Fantasy does that all the time because they know the game can’t actually hold people over.

people are convinced yoshi is their bff. so when hes like “go play another game” they see it as him doing them a solid cuz he’s such a nice guy. they would do well to look into ff7r and the kingdom hearts debacles to see that square is just as bad if not worse than blizzard. and that the game makers all have their hands in our wallets and aren’t actually our friends. lol

Square Enix selling the ending of the story as DLC still blows my mind. Then again, the Kingdom Hearts series doesn’t seem to understand what spin-off / side-content is supposed to be, and they make everything mandatory.

It is pretty funny how many content creators were praising it as being so much better than WoW despite how long they’ve stuck with WoW and then they didn’t even last a year only/mostly playing FFXIV even with a completely new expansion released, they didn’t stick with it as long as one would for a WoW expansion release.

People forget how long WoW has been going and how basically no other MMORPG hit their old records nor the longetivity for the numbers managed to keep. Not to say the game is in a good place currently, but there’s still enough people playing it (and don’t forget Classic TBC) that others don’t come close. The best you can do looking at numbers is compare how many servers each version of the game has, and the ‘medium-full’ servers and when you know the cap for WoW servers is 10k online at once, you can guesstimate at least how many are online at a specific time. Compare it to how many servers other games have at their respective server caps (FFXIV is something like 7-8k, theirs actually varies depending on region and server more than that I think but 8k is some of their highest.)

It’s just funny to see how many content creators praised another game and ‘left WoW’ for it, and how many posts their videos ‘inspired’ on the forums spouting their opinions left and right for ages. I still can’t go into many big places for WoW without people still talking about FFXIV or making meme posts like the lalafel and free trial stuff and various what would be considered off-topic posts about it in those areas.

Since FFXIV didn’t keep as many people as one would think given all of those streamer praises, I imagine not much will change for WoW since Ion is still lead dev (Bad choice) and Danuser is still lead story/writer (bad choice) among many other devs who’s ideas are honestly really bad given them trying to ‘improve’ on systems implemented in Legion are still done as lesser versions as well as any new systems they come up with… Systemlands and all, even with 9.2 nothing changed. Even the gear in the zone has a bunch of systems behind it leaving people confused.

no it’s just because , he streamed FF14 MSQ , so he had lot of viewers/subs during this period , so he has to satisfy them by praising FF and talking bad about WOW

so they stay around him and boost his streams numbers , like Asmongold

it’s the meta if you are a ex/wow streamer

Why do these threads keep getting moved here and not deleted? Steam numbers don’t represent the actual player base. It’s been the same garbage for months.

why would they be deleted and not just moved to ot where they belong? it’s not like ff14 is some huge politically charged thing that shouldn’t be on the forums. it just needs to be in the ot games section where the rest of the ff14 spam threads are quarantined. pro and against.

Why not post in one of the dozens of threads that already exist here about the exact same thing?

do you see how many “muh arthas” threads are active atm? people spam and spam and don’t give a single kek about if they should or not.

I stay away from General because most of it is nonsense. I’m just annoyed at these threads because they’re misinformation and unoriginal at this point.

I do love how all the streamers who left WoW because “serious issues with Blizzard” have all pretty much came back to wow for the click $$$$$.

It’s just the raid and M+ bros that came back.

Its ok to be wrong. By your own logic, WoW had a content drought two weeks after launch as well.

Difference here is I play, or played in terms of WoW, both, unlike you so in reality, I actually have more credibility in my statements.

?

I’m not sure what in my logic suggested that WoW content goes stale as fast as FFXIV. FFXIV just releases a small morsel of content and its gobbled up instantly because the content is easy and also people are so hungry for the content they go crazy on it and experience burn-out much more quickly than in WoW. There’s nothing comparable about that to WoW.

I “played” both as well. That said, I don’t need to have played the game to have seen sentiment online and from content creators.
