The trend around this game is over? I saw they opened free trial 2/22 like WOW patch and still is not doing well wtf ? They released a new expansion 2 months ago and still …

ff 14 doesn’t compete with wow. ff14 is for roleplayers and people who like an mmo centered around a single player story. ff14 goes up in players for a new expansion and then drops in players after they complete the story.

wow is more for raiding and mythic dungeons.

it’s just not the same audience.

If they’re talking about single player story experience, yes, probably.

If they’re talking raid design? No, I don’t really think so.

A combination of lost ark and maybe the latest expansion wasnt great? I don’t know, its odd, they have less numbers than before the expansion even came out.

I’m not sure how accurate this MMO Populations is, but they took a massive dive shortly after the xpac came out, when previously they have been consistently growing for years. I am kind of shocked by that.

I went too early.

I killed 3 mini bosses today since I back peddled.

Tree Sentinel, Dragon and some Hunter guy with a sword that bleeds.

They need patience and skill to find and navigate, but yes, FF14 has something called forums. Don’t expect anything lively like here, though.

Since the OP never responded, I can only surmise that these numbers come from Steam. Which doesn’t come near to most of the playerbase for FFXIV. Most of those are on console or the launcher.

Neither WoW nor FFXIV make their full sub numbers public. And even if the game is competition for WoW, that’s healthy. It’s not a problem. Both will maintain their playerbases.

I ran at his legs a lot.

There are patterns to his flame attacks. Sometimes the ruins can make for cover vs fire.

Prepare for heart attack if Dragon fires from behind an irregular rock.
