This PvP gearing system

See. Everything is fine.

Yea, because the season just started. Minus your cloak and legs, all your gear is 375 and lower. We are now capping 385 gear. Do more bgs and less warfronts and you will have upgrades every week.

No. Juga & Blizz know what’s best for you, even if it’s the same piece. Now you know.

TBF for a lot of players that is true. if we had a vendor how many people would just buy what simcraft tells them is the most significant bang for their buck? these people would still be following a locked in loot system where they are not making choices, but now they have a bunch of work to do in order to be told what to buy. i’d be willing to bet that the number of players who would really utilize vendors for meaningful choices in what to buy is very small.

So the people that strictly do rated aren’t supposed to get what they want? :sunglasses:

if i kill a mythic raid boss do i get a choice in what loot it drops and when?

Pve and Pvp are the same?

I was just thinking that what is missing from this whole system is the honour gear.

A fresh 120 could play as many BG’s or Ashran as they wanted to obtain a decent set of pvp gear relatively quickly, and it was not time gated.

Right now, I could win two BG’s a day epic/reg (I don’t do rated). Then, I look to PVE, as it is way faster and way less time gated than PvP in my opinion. When I come back to the weekly PvP reward there is a chance I have something better in that slot from doing PVE and that does not feel good.

Yes PvP vendors should have never been replaced with Rng. Not to mention the game should not have lost 90% of it’s stats or 40% of class ability’s! Alot needs to be done but Idk if it will happen since yeah know blizzards involvement with logic.

why should one have a system where loot is 100% RNG and the other have a system where it is not RNG at all?

But you’re making that choice. You’re choosing to do something else rather than pvp. You have an entire week to cap 500 points.

Let pve have vendors for all I care. Pvpers do the same thing over and over again: fight each other. They only want to be able to customize and select the stats they want, and pick the pieces they want.

But I suppose that’s asking for too much.

Sadly this mmo lost what a mmorpg is. Customizing your character with various hybrids of gear/stats. Now it’s all cookie build and spoon fed information. hard to do wrong in current system. We lost stats the most important thing to a mmo, most gem and enchant slots removed. ability’s simplified or removed all together. Given free gear for doing hardly anything. Lost the value of epic gear. /sigh i love the game played for 12 years now, wow is disappointing on what it is today and I haven’t yet throwing in the white flag like most the other old wow community.

they tried that back in wrath, both in ToC and ICC you could buy your tier set mostly from a vendor by getting a token drop.

but that choice is as irrelevant to pvp as it is in pve. if most people are not going to make their own personal choice and instead pick the optimal numbers thing 99.9% of the time, you might as well make that choice the default option.

I am talking about honour gear, the lesser pieces you could buy with honour. There was no weekly cap, so I could get all of these pieces in as many days as it took me to play all of those BG’s or your favourite: Ashran. This is completely missing from the current system.

While at the same time I was saving up conquest for the weekly cap to buy conquest gear (like the current 500 cp = loot system, except I could choose whatever I wanted).

Depends what you mean by “choice”. True, at the end of the day you might not have much choice what to buy, but the game still needs to allow you some freedom to select it.

No. People picked the stats they wanted. Want to cast faster? Get haste enchants, gems, reforging. Want bigger crits, get crit.

Want to be more tanky, pick the gear that has the appropriate stats. Having a CHOICE is not a bad thing.

Because the scaling is miles better. You don’t need that Honor gear to not go squish

Apparently it’s too confusing for people to see that they earned a currency and can use said currency to buy gear, Blizz said.

You can still enchant some gear and reforging had nothing to do with vendors.
