As I said, friends are not obligated to do others favours - especially when it eats up a lot of time.
The person you’re quoting said they’d be willing to help their friends, but would like some help in return. This is a normal human interaction, which I do understand confuses you.

It’s amusing the best argument the anti-lfd crowd can come up with is ‘it’ll be just as toxic as it is right now’.
Which obviously isn’t true to begin with. The system inherently has protections against such toxicity. And Blizz could make them even more severe.
Some players just really don’t want to lose their income from selling boosts and gdkp runs.

It’s not even that they’re anti LFD, they’re anti everything. Most of them are involved in 3-4 separate threads trolling at a time.

That’s a complete non-sequitor. Dungeons, with or without LFD, are puggable. If you a struggling to pug a dungeon, it’s a personal problem.
Except those people aren’t friends. Do you know what a friend is? It seems like you a struggling to understand that.
speaking of circles, a can see the hamster wheel in your head, and the hamster is dead.
I made plenty of friends in my guild. But they didnt just instantly become that, and I explained how i went about meeting them. My point is that the suggestion to just “join a guild” is as base as it gets, and expecting every person no matter what their RL situation may be, has to do it your way is ridiculous, considering it has zero impact on you for them to group up randomly with eachother through an in game system. I mean obviously you wouldnt want to associate with any of them, which is fine, im sure w/e guild you are a part of will exclusively run with eachother or settle for chat spamming. DONT USE AN ADDON! because thats the point right? making it easy to group up is destroying your classic experience?
There’s a real strong “I walked uphill through the snow both ways and so should you” thing going on with some of them.

You’re right. But it’s also forum psychology. People form an initial opinion and…that’s it. It’s no longer about having a discussion. It’s not about the issue itself. It’s about being right. No open minds. No willingness to concede a point or value an opinion. Just argue to argue.

It’s not my way. It’s Blizzard’s way. And it’s their game.
Do you honestly think friends are supposed to spend hours helping other friends, or they’re not real friends? How does anyone get anything done for themselves?

It’s like talking to a flat-earther. Nothing you say is right, and if you put out a good point they’ll just make something up.

It’s okay, there’s not going to be LFD so nothing important was lost. WotLk classic is about to be LIT

except no.
its all of our game. and if you push enough people away, it will become noones game, when blizz decides to sunset “their” game thats just not profitable enough to remain supported anymore. keep it up!

Watching pro lfd’s pontificate to each other is akin to watching an infomercial about “the last frying pan you’ll ever need” and being convinced to buy it because the “customer” on the infomercial is blown away by its capabilities.
To be fair, I was fairly anti-LFD early in Classic/TBCC.
Remember when posters said Classic would never happen?

I would have said same faction BG’s would never happen in classic.

Yep, I was one of the people asking for it and getting shouted down by a bunch of people currently playing as midget foxes
Yup. Funny, a lot of the people who were pro-same faction BGs were Horde players. As if they were the ones who benefitted from it. Kind of like when they have a personal stake in an issue, it matters to them. Like players who want to play more and do more dungeons and LFD.
So was I.
This is true. You would certainly know.
