This is why you don't want LFD

They’ve had both good and bad takes throughout the years.

That’s why I’m so protective of this #somechange. I want to give them credit when they actually have a good take, so that we get more good takes. Same as training a puppy, it’s all about positive reinforcement.

Apparently not convincing 4 other people to make an alt at the same time as you do and always stay within your level and always runs dungeons when you want is not making genuine connections and friendships.

I don’t know how else to say this, but that’s not how you make friends…

You’re protective of it because it’s a change you like and it allows your opinion to be the, “right” opinion - it limits the playability of the game for a lot of players, which to many is a positive.

We have a massive problem with dungeons in TBCC, in the same way we had a problem with it in Classic. LFD was the solution back in the day, and all the, “damage” that it did in the past has already long since happened and it doesn’t matter anymore.

Yeah that’s the thing. There’s a difference between not liking LFD and sticking your head in the sand and pretending LFD didn’t address actual real issues.

Right. I hope you like your 1 hr queues to get kicked immidiately

I’d rather hear them from blizzard then from you as one is a semi credible source and the other is you, a random player who has some ideas.

People acting like there’s going to be endless groups of premades 3 elitist jerks who immediately vote kick any player because of their spec or gear are being completely ridiculous.

Abusing the kick system will get you banned, first of all. Secondly….this is Wrath dungeons. A monkey could play a naked bm hunter and the group will do just fine.

However, without lfd these gatekeeping jerks are free to discriminate as much as they want.

Add LFD for low level dungeons and call it a day, cut it off at 71+.

The people who want to level alts are happy, the people who don’t want LFD are happy. Everyone wins

you have to be a tank or healer main, theres no way you are this out of touch unless its intentional for trolling.
two thirds of the player base AT LEAST, are dps mains. Even within guilds they are competing with eachother for spots in groups and in raids.
Making friends comes after you actually get in the group, and then in discord, and then do that enough times that people start to know eachother.
Problem is, as dps, you need to go above and beyond to GET that spot… which is why I made the tank/healer to show appreciation for a dps spot in guild groups.
But until we knew eachother, guild chat was really not much different that general chat other than green text…

LFD wouldn’t have hour long queues. Enough people have a reason to run it that even DPS will have shorter queues than that, and tanks will sell queues.

If we want to limit players, we’d still need to add an exception for low pop realms. But I’d rather not care in the slightest about what elitists who want other players to have a worse time and sit and spam LFG for hours.

Nah, just make it same realm only like 15-20 minutes then it goes cross realm.

There we go community preserved on healthy realms and it still helps low pop/off hour groups.

And they aren’t wrong. It did happen a couple of times. But thanks to LFD, you simply queue up to try again another time.

And while that is bad behavior, I want to highlight the fairness and impartiality of LFD; when even bad apples like that can use it to form their own groups.

Why would we implement a change for the handful of people that want to play on a dead realm? The best solution would just be to absorb those servers into the mega servers.

This game suffered from there being multiple servers literally minutes / seconds after they allowed people to make their toons to reserve names in vanilla classic.

Yeah we all thought we wanted multiple servers but the community created mega servers and it is now the standard.

Merge everyone onto one PvP server, merge all PvE servers into one PvE server. Done, problem of dead servers solved… now no one ever has to transfer again!

You figured it out

what’s so different than now?
i wait hours to get into party and once i move to stone i get kicked.

i’d rather have a chance to find randoms who’d have to vote on kicking me instead of 1selfish person removes me out of the blue for any reason if he find a better class or bis player insted, HOWEVER LFD removal system can’t be abused in wotlk, once u use it more than 3times in 1hour u will be prevented from using it for the whole day, abuse it again and your character will not be able to vote kick anyone for the whole week.

You’re going in circles at this point. You need to work on actually making friends instead of transactional relationships.

That’s what the MMORPG genre is about.

Mega servers have enough problems with server lag.

The players who don’t want to be forced to transfer shouldn’t also be unable to do anything at all, and that includes on servers with a dominant faction.

How many layers do you want there to be, and how do you want to handle name conflicts?

Except that dungeons have always been considered puggable content.
