This is why you don't want LFD

“Join a guild”

my experience with the guild at the start of TBC :
me: so we gonna try to group up to get some dungeon grinding going on?
guild: crickets…
me: in chat: dps lfg ramps…
Guild Master logs on guild: hey yall wasup imma run some ramps gonna need 2 mo… oops k were full
me: any other groups getting made?
guild: crickets…
so yeah, its not always the perfect solution

Just laugh when people say to join a guild. The dungeon finder has zero impact on people who just want to run dungeons with guildies. There’s no reason to be against the tool other than to gatekeep and troll. And of course not want to see your boosting and gdkp business take a hit.

Found your issue. Instead of making a group yourself, you keep trying to get someone to make it for you. You need to take initiative.

Well no, the difference between me and you is Blizzard actually agrees with me, and on pretty much multiple subjects has shown they have absolutely zero alignment with you.

It means I might be a slightly better indicator for where Blizzards head is at on this feature than you…

LFM Tank/Healer is no different than DPS LFG.

So now what you’re saying is you are in capable of forming your own opinion.

which will also be hilarious if/when blizzard flops on this one.

I simply came to the same obvious conclusion on DF’s affect on the game as Blizzard did, long before Classic.

It’s nice to be validated.

It’s sad to see all those who just can’t seem to understand the rationale as hard as they try, but I promise you, there are good reasons for why they decided to withhold LFD.

yeah, i did. I had 3 accounts. I boosted a druid to be a tank for all the other people in guild struggling to get the runs they needed, in exchange for someone running my main. I also powerleveled myself a Resto Shaman, with hunter main with mob tagging, so I could heal giuld groups that were struggling to get the runs they needed, in exchange for runs for my warlock main. This is all the BS I had to go through WHILE actively in a guild. Also discovered that the guild was a lot more active in discord, and didnt say much in guild chat unless the boss logged on. This was so much more fun than being able to just get my stuff done when i needed to, right? And I used Bulletin Board most of the time- which is basically a 3rd party lesser version of the in game finder… tell me… do you use any addons? How would you feel if they were ALL removed?

Yes the reason is they made a mistake, pro tip why aren’t you playing retail if you think blizzard never makes mistakes?

You do realize the most good players will queues with their buddies and kick suboptimal players/specs right?

No, I don’t know that. But that will be abusing the kick system, reported, and hopefully those people are punished accordingly.

The current gdkp and boosting, however, is not abusing any system and Blizz will do nothing about it. Hence why those people are terrified about dungeon finder being added.

Because if I have a choice between a RDF game and a non-RDF game, the choice is easy?

Retail : has DF

Classic : doesn’t have DF

Simple. Blizzard made the choice easy.

Also technically I am kinda playing retail a little bit ATM.

Most of them will queue and not care as long they get the dungeon done.

Blizzard’s own understanding and opinions have been shown to be pretty bad in the past, though.

It also doesn’t matter what effect it had. This is an entirely different era, and it isn’t Blizzard’s place to try and change the game to the detriment of the populace overall.

Your problem is that instead of just making genuine connections and friendships, you went this transactional quid pro quo route. That’s on you.

Getting a chance to set foot in a dungeon, then kicked eventually, is better than not getting to enter it at all.

youre right, tripling my workload to help guildies and form friendships with them was a terrible idea

Who are they supposed to make, “genuine connections and friendships” with people outside their guild? And if you mean their guildies, it’d be a nice thing for them to help powerlevel her alts, but at the same time it’s their own time and nobody should feel obligated to do it - you’re not a bad friend or anything for not doing so.

Doing favours for friends is normal. Acting like it’s required isn’t.

Wait why are people running gdkps worried about dungeon groups?
