Currently people on low pop servers and to an extent all servers feel like they’re severely hampered by forming groups in the current way. either due to population, class choice, guild accessibility or flat out gatekeeping. You’ve just described how making groups is currently for a lot of people.
Correct me if I’m wrong, and I’m sure you will, but it doesn’t seem like you played when RDF was initially released. Groups formed organically all the time, people still wanted to make groups either way they could. players had options they didn’t have before to access content and side step many of the previous hard or soft barriers to that content.
RDF did not kill this community, player attitudes did entirely. We may have the same game but we do not and will not have the same player mentality as back in the day.
Even if Blizzard caved on RDF there’s no way in heck you’re getting it as it was originally, they will #somechange the heck out of it. My guess is same server only and no dungeon teleport.
You sure you responded to the right person? I don’t see how this relates besides just telling me I wont get RDF which is annoying but wont stop me from playing, just playing less.
Though same server RDF is basically your “one leg” analogy for small servers like earthfury. Removing teleports is fine if BGs have to Q at portal, otherwise its a nonstarter of a statement.
…no, you don’t get to change the way I presented my analogy.
Manually forming groups is much better for the game as a whole, just as nutritious food is better for your body as a whole than quick, convenience (McD/LFD).
That anology doesn’t work lol. Man, you’re trying really hard to win this argument that you lost weeks ago.
If manually forming groups is better, then shouldn’t we all walk to work? Taking a vehicle of any type is just too convenient and ruins the social aspect of getting to work.
We should also cook our food over open fires made by lightning strike only.
I didn’t change your analogy, you just picked a bad analogy that undermines your own point.
Chat pugging is not fundamentally any different than the experience using LFD and for a lot of people using LFD is preferable for numerous reasons. Just like how doing through the drive through or parking and walking into mcdonalds results in you eating the same food.
Technically there’s an economic argument to be had about the poor value-benefit comparison between cheap food (fast food) and healthy food (expensive).
They don’t say that America has an obesity problem for fun. It’s something that the country should actively be attempting to reverse.
Sure you have the option to contribute to that statistic but since we’re discussing a game where everything is digital and not actually life threatening (like obesity is, and not having LFD is not), Blizzard is making a call for the greater good of the game.
