there is based on your views of work putting groups together, the people skipping the line aren’t putting in the investment or hard work of waiting in line.
What loss is there in just being given max level with BiS gear the moment you create your character?
Imagine thinking that playing whack a mole with an add on or chat is role playing.
But that’s what it is. I post in chat. You post in chat. 6 other people post in chat. My line falls off the screen, I post again. Repeat repeat repeat until someone DM’s you. That’s how it works when your friend list runs dry.
Um, this is completely inaccurate to reality.
I care very much about who I invite, and I very much keep tabs on people who shouldn’t be getting one, and who I can trust. That’s just one of the great elements of organic group formation. The autonomy to have those things in mind.
If I’m inviting a random, I check their character to see what I’m dealing with, how much I might need to “baby” them, and so on.
What you’re saying is so far from the actual truth, it’s silly.
I think that they should have said that they wanted the feature gone because they thought it wasn’t right.
But instead, they said it was what the community wanted. And when things started spiraling out of control the dev’s encouraged the fighting by deleting comments on twitter that wanted LFD in the game and hearting comments supporting their vision.
They are pinning this on us! A decision they made is our fault. I am sorry but I don’t feel good about this at all one way or the other.
Maybe the real loss is the friends we didn’t made along the way.
RDF doesn’t stop you from this, you say you have a network of trusted people. Group with them, walk over, do the dungeon.
I mean, I still believe this to be true.
We used to run Wrath dungeons wearing only rings and weapons to make them more entertaining. You could easily bring along a noob, show them how it’s done, and maybe next time you meet they’ll be all the better off due to your tutelage.
Part of being social is being nice to people who you feel are beneath you.
Great, nothing about LFD prevents you from doing that.

you’re doing that for dungeons???
i mean you can do this for raids but for basic 5man dungeons? which can be 2manned?
I mean, I still believe this to be true.
That that justifies the deves making people fight each other? Because you believe you are on the right side of things that means you can be as mean as you can to other people?
We’ve been over this and there’s really no point to retreading it over and over.
Implementing RDF dries up to an alarming degree the pool of people an organic group former has to work with. This is obvious. This is not an argument.
RDF affects everyone whether they would voluntarily choose to not use it or otherwise.
If you don’t like feeling “forced” to engage with normal group forming because you loved RDF, then simply don’t play or…you know, get over it.
Sir, Classic Era isn’t low activity due specifically to features or lack thereof.
It’s because everyone just moved on to play TBC. People will eventually go back to Vanilla and they will see a boom at some point.
People were playing on Vanilla servers for over a decade leading up to Classics release. I know you really want it to be so to make your point, but Classic Era isn’t dying any time soon.
I’m just going off of history. People have been dedicated to rolling fresh characters in vanilla servers for many years, long before Classic. Classic TBC is just one of the first times that anybody has done a “TBC recreation” well or correctly (although Atlantis did pretty good just prior to classic era release), so most people are getting their TBC fill.
When TBC no longer exists, they will either go to Wrath or to the new SoM for Classic Era, or just plain Classic Era.
Ive been hearing good things about diablo Immortal raidfinder, log. Click, clear. Wipe, go back to work. Its even got a cash shop so you can just buy your gear,
I don’t personally believe I’m mean to anyone who has given me at least basic courtesy.
You come off kind of snarky tbh, but that’s also the limitations of a text based chat format
Only to match the snarkiness of the people who aggressively attack on the subject of their favorite feature being missing.
