This is why you don't want LFD

Have any proof of that?

It’s so ridiculous anyone defends this and wants to preserve this going into Wrath. So community driven! Such friendships being formed!

But removing dungeon finder ensures this will continue to happen in Wrath Classic. Endless buying and selling of dungeon runs. Endless gear checks. Endless gatekeeping. Pay up or quit.

Why Blizzard has chosen to remove the system that would fix this is beyond me.

Amen to that.

How would you do that? Its an input output equation, #players that meet criteria and spec determines que times not blizzard,

My focus on this is PUG groups as thats what RDF is designed for.
A group made with randoms is a group made with randoms regardless of how its formed. Is the involvement to get into a group for a dungeon that enriching of an experience be it in LFG or RDF? Both are dungeon groups i have a stake in and both are groups id like to see succeed.
If i made the group i put in work, id like it to succeed. Id also like it to fill and complete in a timely manner. My stake in the group passing/failing is strong either way. If i waited 10min in LFG chat building/finding a group i would have the same sense of responsibility to help that group succeed as i would if i spent 10min in a RDF Q.
Its player attitudes not systems. If you want a group to succeed youll work for that regardless of wether its automated grouping or organic grouping.

what type of idiots are always bringing the “making raid groups” into a conversion about “making 5man dungeons”

it’s a whole different thing, and this is not about “LFR” it’s about “LFD”

People have been selling tank queues and healer queues in LFD since the original inception of LFD. So LFD wouldn’t fix this “issue” you have with the player made economy.

Automation reduces involvement, no matter how you try to slice it.

Automation does not.
Player attiudes do.
If you view an automated group as less worth your communication thats a you issue not a RDF issue.

Yeah, and the RDF tool has pretty much always given you an estimated time to expect to find a group. They could either dynamically alter the cutoff to start searching other realms, or they could update it every Tuesday with server maintenance/resets.

It can be done.

Removing the hard work required to do something doesn’t reduce someone involvement in it?
What kind of universe do you live in where that is even remotely possible on a psychological level.

You mean proof of the basic functionality of LFD, yes just go use. That’s how it works.

No, I mean proof that RDF was designed to mimic the formation of a group in the same duration as it would take on a “healthy” server or any other some such conditions.

I’m pretty sure it just tries to match you with valid roles as soon as methodically possible based on who is queued.

Well its the same tool just different scenario, still nuts n bolts regardless what machine it holds together, Sorry but ALL your arguments for LFD apply to RF so stop cherry picking the facts and realise it is what it is, " A bot that uses gear score, spec and first come first serve to group 5 players, 10 players, 25 players… together and teleport them to an instanced scenario. " simply that, nothing more, a dumb bot that blindly throws people together that fit the parameters.

Wow, just…wow.

Cry moar nerd

lol you’re really clueless…please don’t bother commenting.
or maybe go do some research first.

I love how now the anti-LFD crowd is arguing that forming a group is hard, and for that effort it is right and just that the group leader gets to reserve loot for themselves, even though they literally cannot acquire the loot without other players providing assistance.

Its not hard work to make a group currently or at all, its patience. Posting an ad in LFG and reposting and clicking invite isnt hard. Its a dungeon run, making or joining groups isnt hard outside of potential group leader requirments which are generally fair in regards to 5 man dungeons.
Its patience not hard work.

For the record i am pro-rdf but im more pro-dungeon then i am for any specific system. I like dungeons, even when i no longer need them.
