His interpretation is completely not what I meant. I could have been unclear. It’s possible. What I meant is LFD being implemented would make it harder for me to find a pug I didn’t already know, outside of using LFD. Obviously it wouldn’t have any impact on me asking my guild or friends list and I said nothing about that. Not sure why he went there.
By definition a PUG is someone you didn’t already know?
LFD makes that easier.
I mean, it still would anyway.
Your friends/guildees may very well have used the LFD simply because it’s easier and “quicker” to form a group while you weren’t around, instead of waiting for you to be around to circumvent the group forming “challenge”.
Don’t buckle to their terrible arguments, there’s no merit to them and there’s no reason you need to give them any credit.
Yea I think the issue is I didn’t specify “forming a group with pugs outside of LFD”. So that’s my bad. That’s probably why Slavegirl said in response to what I said about forming a group manually, some kind of scenario about me asking guildie or friends list and them saying no, I’m using LFD. That’s not at all what I was trying to say.
I do have good experiences in TBCC forming groups manually with pugs. That experience—I.e. finding pugs outside of the LFD system—will be harder to have with LFD implemented.
I understand I can just queue up but that to me personally is not my preferred way. I never got into lobby games like LoL and maybe that has something to do with it? I’m actually an introvert IRL but in the game I find it easier to be more exuberant and outgoing and chatting up strangers.
Anyway, not like I think I’d be suffering if I had to queue up so I’m not up in arms about LFD either way. Just not my preferred way.
speaking of bad arguments, if they would not around, nothing would have stop them from picking up some random person even without LFG to run… (with or without LRG around nothing would have changed).
My position has been fairly consistent I think. That I am for LFD if it is implemented without the extra rewards.
My position would be the following, in order of preference:
-
No LFD and them implementing an improved LFG tool. Probably like the Mythic Dungeon premade group finder in retail? This sounds like the direction they are headed in and I am happy. Happiness level: high.
-
LFD being in the game, and it operating just like TBCC’s BG queue system. A queue-able group-forming tool. No other bells and whistles. In consistency with that, I find teleportation and cross realm to be acceptable. Happiness level: Medium.
-
status quo: No LFD in the game and we continue using the LFG chat system and ignoring the LFG tool. Happiness level: neutral.
-
Full on LFD with all the bells and whistles, bonus rewards and everything. Happiness level: Sadge.
do you have like 30 IQ or something?
it’s the same thing now your friends/guilds can do the daily quest while your offline
HOWEVER if lfd existed? they do it easily again with you once you’re online
You dont need RDF for grouping, you can still make your own groups.
We need RDF so people can run dungeons, otherwise they cant. Oh yeah, incentivize while your at it or people wont participate. Lol.
Make up your minds please.
It seems some people have just been programmed that…‘lfd is bad’ and can’t get beyond that. Can’t even reason beyond that.
Imagine the stance where spamming lfg and then inviting some random stranger is fine. But the game automatically groups you with that random stranger is terrible.
That is what they’re arguing.
LFD is neither good nor bad.
The players are bad. Therefore, LFD is bad.
People like to say I prematurely call someone a troll. But look at that statement. Literally could be used to say, “Remove every system from the game. Every interaction between players needs to be taken out.”
Who thinks that person isn’t trolling?
By the way, if players are bad yeah the lfg channel brings that to the forefront. Lfd actually bypasses that elitist, gatekeeping toxic crap. So lfd in large part negates the bad, toxic players. Maybe that’s what they fear.
thats ok i dont want to play classic wrath with out lfg no boost money for blizzard have a good day.
If they love Vanilla so much, they should go back to Classic Era.
If you love queue system grouping you should go to retail.
You know the difference? Dungeon finder WAS IN WRATH.
So troll harder please.
Because it was irrelevant to the conversation. You only asked it to try and cause a circular argument again.
You didn’t answer the question, will we be getting 3.0 DK’s or 3.3 DK’s at launch?
Is the answer possibly contradictory to what you claim?
You didn’t answer the question, will we be getting 3.0 DK’s or 3.3 DK’s at launch?
We will be getting 3.3 DK CLASS BALANCE
The discussion is on a feature though, and as we saw with guild banks, even if the class balance is the end patch, that doesn’t mean features are. And we also know content isn’t either due to how they have phased that.
Is the answer possibly contradictory to what you claim?
There is no contradiction, just your attempt to create a circular argument due to your selective reading comprehension.
We will be getting 3.3 DK CLASS BALANCE
Right so blizzard goes with final patch design because it resolves actual in game issues.
Like LFD.
What solutions do propose other than LFD?
Like LFD
Lfd isn’t class balance.
Circular argument is circular argument.
