This is what (some of) the Community Council posts about?

Blizzard abandoned this whole feedback tool, there’s not Live chats as promised on the announcement video, there’s not a feedback structure or clear guidelines from Community managers.

This joke deserves to be a comment inside a thread about Character customization, because it’s important for some worgen players, roleplay its part of the game…etc, this is the exact same topic about High elf and how those players got the customizations for Void Elf.

If Blizzard didn’t added high elf customizations as part of the void elf race and some kind of joke happened like this, there’ll be more people complaining compared to this.

This here would have been acceptable and more professional response, instead of an toxic insult from a Drakthyr joke as a response. Draenei, and pandas have tails, none of the context refers as such from both races as a joke until Drakthyr as a new race came, it was intentional for such behavior.

While working on worgan customizations, a toggle tail wouldn’t have hurt any non worgan players. The concept art in some Hearthstone cards is what gave the idea, worgans with a possibility to have tails.

I’m waiting for new Blood Elf jokes now.

“Pfft, that Community Council? Did they really expect us to interact with them? Bwahahaha.”

My issue with the CC is that it defeats the purpose of the GD. They need to give everyone else some say in the matter. E.g. upvotes/downvotes in the CC forum. Right now we’re just an overglorified and unmoderated chatroom.

Most game publishers have people who are quite capable of monitoring community feedback and taking good and useful input from it.

Somebody with those capabilities seems to have always eluded Blizzard.

this could be manipulated.

Blizzard didn’t need a CC at all, there’s a forum section for almost anything, also they can request community managers to check discord, communities…etc for feedback. Idk what those CM do all the time, if you join any mount collector discord / fb group, you’ll find common issues , feedback…etc same for other topics.

I hope they cave, remove the joke and then insert a joke about people who get mad at jokes as the ultimate non-apology.

Full tea right here

Exactly this, we didn’t need CC, just someone checking communtities and their own forums sections instead of being afraid of GD.

That’s the big fat 100$ question isn’t it.

What the heck do the CMs even do ? Because they sure ain’t engaging much with the community.

this would make my day

Just a reminder:

“Specifically with World of Warcraft, our creative director Alex [Afrasiabi] said a wonderful thing. He said our story rooms are dojos. They’re sacred places. And we try to tell a story as best we can and to make our players as happy as we can. But we try not to let the negativity enter the dojo,” said George Krstic, Blizzard’s director of story and franchise development during his keynote address at Reboot Develop today.
"You’ve got to clear your mind, focus your mind and do good work. Do we listen to our players and our fans? Absolutely. But also we try not to let that distract us from our end goal of the expansion or the new patch. We have a plan. We are listening. But also those voices can get pretty loud out there.

They could have capable community people passing feedback along, but that feedback might not be allowed in “the dojo”.

At least that could have a double meaning and a point to it. The joke in question does not. lol

:face_vomiting:

imagine having a tail

I can imagine someone going “this doesn’t pass the vibe check,” :skull:

Also negativity and criticism is a key component of growing and doing better. Good stories tend to teach us that despite our failings, we can do better. No wonder the story has been crap.

Neither did Spaceballs really but it was still an hilarious movie.

This is comparing apples to…well, spaceships.

That’s literally Jaina’s entire arc from Battle for Azeroth.

Maybe you should read quest text, dialogue and watch cutscenes instead of skipping.

A joke’s a joke.
