If you barely have that much time, then you’re not going to have much time to do most things in SoD. Because like Era, the game is designed around a significant time investment. This is reading less and less like an issue with the runes, and more and more like a “this isn’t the right style of game for you” and I mean that respectfully. Era and SoD is not going to be a game for everyone. It’s a very different beast.

Yea time for me to Re-roll. I’m not doing completing the Raid just to Tank. Locks should be Tanking at 18 in DM and doing SFK etc. It should be an easy quest like Soloing an Elite boss with your Voidwalker and you get the Rune etc… Or you have to solo without a pet.

Just sad they did this ruining it. Completely bonkers detached thinking by them. They midaswell not even had Meta available this phase.

it is a bit odd, because my guild was expecting me to MT our first run only to need to have a feral tank it but then its awkward to have my transition to tank in the 3rd lockout now

Rogue’s tanking ability is still not gatekept behind content that requires another tank. The warlock argument isn’t selfish at all, there should be work put in to get this kind of reward. Rogues will put it in just as warlocks will. But for rogues to get it, it is able to be done solo, albeit slowly. Warlocks cannot say the same.
Again, the warlock position is not that it’s difficult or annoying or time consuming or that work needs to put in to get it. Just that to obtain it you have to go to a raid and have someone else be the tank first.

You wanna know why it was a bad idea to gatekeep the rune behind a long max level chain quest?

Just look at the LFG channel on your server. It most likely look like this :
LFM {insert dungeon} need Tank

The whole point of introducing more tank class was to address tank shortage in 5man while not requiring them to actually spec for it. You wanna tank? Put the rune on your gear and tank.
And the result is a bunch of rogue and lock unable fill the role.
