Adding new tanks has never fixed the tank shortage in pugging
Yeah, rogueâs tanking ability is locked behind another phase because right now itâs hot garbage lol.
And gatekeeping it surely wonât help either.
I wanted to tank as lock, I canât. That was the whole point for me to play SoD, so Iâll just move to something else.
Warrior and Druid litterally get their tanking form handed to them.
Shamans literally tanked Sulfuron adds in Vanilla and Classic. As did paladins. You have no idea what youâre talking about.
LFG Bulletin Board on curse my guy.
I know how you feel. The entire reason Iâm on SoD too is to get that one rune that does the thing, but to get it I have to get rep with the supply officer raised. That means turning in supplies. I mean wtf, if I knew I was going to discover THAT out I wouldnât have hopped into such a cesspool of discovery. âDiscover around, find outâ Emirite? I think thatâs the saying⌠anyways, hereâs a handkerchief you big crybaby.
OMG this again. The dev didnât âadmitâ anything. He said that it was essentially an oversight for people THAT START AFTER PHASE 1 because raids will be harder to get into at that point. Thats all. JFC.
Yeah, i wouldnât have minded a big cool adventure for way of earth, kinda lame honestly
What are guilds for? Also its 10 man and good xp at that. youd figure people would actually like playing the game instead of just getting through it as fast as possible
Yeah people forget we had 10 man dungeons back in the day and people started calling them a raid years later. Poor Leeroy.
Even if you manage to clear raid and get what you need.
I heard the open world part can be griefed endlessly.
This is literally a reply to another tweet. Post -that- tweet.
NVM Iâll do it for you.

@Portal_Ingress
Now imagine coming into the game late once phase one is over and finding out that you canât find any groups that are willing to help you complete old content so you can finally get to tank as a Warlock.
He essentially said that for people coming in late its not cool AND there would be a catchup mechanic⌠which is what I said he said. Again, posting tweets without context is DELIBERATLY misleading.
Ok, I give it to you, they didnât âadmitâ it. Still a stupid design and people defending it have no good argument, best case they have bad equivalency.
Warrior, Druid and Pally get their tanking form litterally handed to them at lv 10 after doing soloable content while still wearing mostly white and grey itemsâŚ
A big point at BlizzCon was that lock and rogue would be able to tank, itâs fair to assume getting their tank form would be as EASY as the other class.
Itâs literally the exact same thing. That rune enables tanking. Shield and defensive stance enables tanking. Actually youâre right itâs not the same thing because a warrior without a shield and defensive stance can still tank better then a lock without meta.
Long quest lines: good. having to do all the current endgame content to access a role on a class: not good.
This isnât era. This is SoD.
Yes.
Yes
Not very well.
So is mage healing, shaman tanking, and rogue tanking.
Endgame is endgame. All endgame is temporary. Imagine if in any other version of the game you had to beat one raid tier in order to access tanking. But yeah you can tank in the other raid tiers so no big deal!
Reading comprehension remains intensely difficult for contrarians.
âsilver platterâ actually look up what you have to do for the meta rune. Removing the instanced content would still make it one of the hardest runes to obtain.
Imagine purposefully misunderstanding something to fit your narrative.
Youâll probably be able to solo bfd by that stage so that wonât be an issue. And if you canât find any groups until end game then itâs not like you were going to be tanking anything anyway. Stop whinging about clearing a single raid lol
Iâve already debunked this 3 times and posted the tweet he was replying to. Yawn.
Its literally not, all those classes were tanks prior to SoD. Comparing a major change to the status quo is ridiculous. The fact remains that Meta is the most overpowered rune in the game (as of right now). Its stronger than all other tanking runes for a single class combined, and locks get -other- tanking runes.
That is the second part of a two-part tweet made in a chain in which the larger conversation was about the rune being locked in a raid. You are taking a snippet out of context.
Aggrendâs reply acknowledges that mistakes were made and runes would not require raids in the future.
This doesnât seem too hard to understand.
Aggrendâs reply is a direct reply to another tweet, which I posted. That is the only context that matters. Assuming his reply connects to any other tweet in the discussion is asinine.
Also he said doing something -for this- so it doesnât require -the- raid. Which implies a catchup mechanic for Meta. Not that other runes wonât be locked in raids.
READING IS HARD!
It was a two part tweet. You posted half.
