Show me what part of 1.1 had 1.12 class balance and 1.12 dungeons.
Matcauthon: Ziryus: Matcauthon: Ziryus: Matcauthon: Ziryus:Does time gating change how people play? Of course, if you can’t zone into an instance you can’t play it. Does it change what’s in that instance when you can, no it does not.
Except they are doing that.
Some of the loot that was added or changed in 1.10 is straight up not going to be available at launch.
Once again ziryus you are lieing
It’s not going to be available, that doesn’t mean the loot itself is changing. Or any of the other time gated content.
Except you literally just said they aren’t changing what’s available in the instance.
Now you’re saying they are.
Which is it?
Are we getting 1.1 MC at release or 1.12? Are we getting the original Ony when its time gate comes up or 1.12? Are we getting progressive class balance patches? The list goes on.
Now your trying to obfuscate again. Won’t work.
Holding back the 1.10 loot changes how the game will be played, what people will be aiming to get, and the potential dps output of all classes.
Therefore it is not a pure 1.12
Sorry if you think time gating is the same as actually changing content.
Its changing how the content is played.
Someone who played during 1.12 would see the 1.10 loot straight from the get go. Would expect bwl, world bosses, etc straight from the get go.
No one in the history of WoW has played a version of the game that had 1.12 patch but didn’t have access to Dire Maul or Zul’Gurub either. We’re already past the point of having 1.12 everything.
Omitting a dungeon or raid from a patch is very different than introducing older patch data into later patch data.
I think at this point if someone thinks time gating in an effort to create an authentic release schedule is “changing content” they’re being either extremely dense or a troll.
Best part about it though, is no one has to play Classic. Your free to go to whatever “authentic” private server you want, one that won’t be shutdown or closed. One that isn’t infested with bugs galore and other problems that plague those servers.
Show me what part of 1.12 had progressive release of content, and holding back of loot from 1.10?
That is going to be a very different experience for anyone who played 1.12 and never existed.
You are being a troll at this point. You’re like the guy who is arguing calling America a country isn’t right since it’s “proper name is the United States of America”.
Except you just told me we were getting an authentic 1.12. So which is it? Authentic 1.12 or staggered content release?
I love this and your attitude.
Blizzard releases Classic and says we have 1.12.
The community says “well don’t have Naxx on release!!”
Blizzard listens and does progressive content.
The community says “Bah that never existed in Classic! Change!”
I cannot wait for this game to launch. So many people on these forums are purposefully digging their heels into the sand and dying on the most worthless hills.
At this point you’re trying to be “technically correct”.
I’m going to enjoy Classic when it releases with what Blizzard gives me. You can either do that or you can still be on these forums, not playing, and complaining.
Matcauthon: Luuni:So you wanted the following:
1.8 AV
1.11 threat
Other changes.I don’t think in any point of Vanillas 2004-2006 timeline did all of those things align. No one has every walked into Naxx and done it with pre 1.11 threat, since naxx shipped in 1.11 and would have had the threat changes.
The closest way to deliver an authentic complete package is to have a flat 1.12 everything. That is when the stars aligned in Vanilla in 2006. 1.12 AV, 1.12 threat, 1.12 talents, 1.12 everything.
1.8 AV, 1.X threat, Naxxramus….that never existed… That’s not even Vanilla. No one in the history of WOW has ever played under those conditions.

That is after all still vanilla.

Good. The rest of us will be in the game playing and having the time of our lives.

Yes that would be vanilla, unlike trying to pretend a frankenpatch is vanilla.
You did actually imply it was… because you were making the point as if since 1.12 had turtling then it was a similar enough experience to 1.5-1.10 AV… when it isn’t even close.
There you go making stuff up again, I did not say that. The only time I brought up turtling is when I said
Yeah it RARELY happened in vanilla when you had a premade group that was lucky enough to hit the same que and the other team decided to not turtle but come on…
I didn’t even mention anything about it being comparable to 1.5-1.10
Are you actually insane? Lol you need to go back and reread what I was writing because I think the voices in your head painted something completely different.
Pretending like you needed to stay is disingenuous.
Here you go making stuff up again for literally no reason lol… man talking to you is going to make me go crazy.
I never said you needed to stay. But here is the facts, after awhile in AV you gained nothing. period. zilch. AV was probably the worst thing you could do for honor, if anyone tells you otherwise they are wrong. With how honor DRs worked, after about 30min or so you were gaining almost nothing. Not that it really matters as AV is just for fun, but you brought up being disingenuous so I’m throwing it back at you.
You treated it like a long ongoing war you could enter and leave at anytime.
Yeah dude that’s super cool and all but when you literally can’t finish an AV at all because it’s a turtle fest and you’re getting literally nothing out of it, people are going to stop queing for it. It will just turn into something that takes 5 hours in que to pop, just to end because there isn’t enough players in it.
EDIT: Not sure why this replied to you mat

My whole point being you can’t sit there and say we are using 1.12 as the base and thus 1.12 av is what we get because authentic and then turn around and say staggered content is authentic.
You literally invalidate your argument.
Obviously you can easily argue that one is more extreme than the other, but if your argument is that you want pure 1.12 and that you oppose older AV because you want a faithful recreation of 1.12 WoW and older AV did not exist under that patch version of WoW, then you should also be opposed to content gating.
I’m not saying you’re not allowed to prefer or argue for fast AV over slow AV, but the “I’m against slow AV because I want patch 1.12 WoW” is intellectually dishonest.

Within the scope of vanilla.
Show me a single time i have ever been all for a pure 1.12
