Blizz has to listen to feedback from non testers.
There are not enough testers on alpha. The feedback forums are basically dead!

No, they really don’t.
Yes they should and I think they have to at this point.
The current testers on alpha are not providing enough feedback. And the few that are giving feedback are simply not enough of them!
But it does have a hard timer. If your damage is decreased by 100%, you do no damage, that is a hard timer. If you take 100% of your total health per second as damage, you are dead, so again another hard timer. So right now the hard timer is in fact 100 minutes on the floor, it is literally impossible to survive for longer than 101 minutes on a floor, realistically you are dead long before that point as the debuff will be stacked to the point of not being able to deal with it.
Most of the feedback is done in game. So no, they really don’t.
That’s a shame. I love this game I really don’t want to quit. I already paid for Shadowlands so i will at least try it. But I’m renewing my FFXIV sub and start catching up there.
Well, to a paying customer, its a slap in the face if I they can’t express their opinions to the devs about future features going into the product they subscribe to, and it goes against the original intent of these forums, to hear ALL opinions on matters important to the game.
That’s all I’m saying.
Starting to play more P99 EverQuest. A more slower-paced, cooperative experience. It’s a lot of fun.
Who’s stopping you? Make a thread and express your concerns.
Lol wut?
No!
That is only for bug reporting.
For reporting about objective and subjective feel of alpha content that is purely on the forums.
I think they should let more testers in at this point. But the low volume feedback of shadowlands alpha is telling that it may be a repeat of BFA alpha testing.
A combination of ignoring forum feedback from testers, and feedback from non testers leads to apathy.
I’ll look into it, thanks.
It’s both. A ton of the feedback is also done through streaming and videos. Either way though, that still doesn’t equate to Blizzard needing to listen to people not actively testing the content in question.
The devs said they don’t want to hear them.
Speaking with nobody hearing isn’t a good usage of time.
No, they said they aren’t going to take direct feedback from people not actively testing the content. It’s like me saying such and such Mythic fight is overtuned when I’ve never stepped foot into Mythic lol.
Which is a reasonable way for them to handle the current forum feedback, because “Timers” has essentially become a buzzword that automatically gets negative feedback in the same way “Timegating” does, despite both aspects existing in plenty of areas of the game before people starting throwing the terms around as terrible sins of game design.
I mean, that’s what alpha is for.
Yep, exactly. I want to give direct feedback to their plans for Torghast, and they won’t let me, even though I am subscribed to their service/game.
Its not that hard to understand. Normally the devs ask us to post on these forums to give our opinions, but now they said only alpha tester posts are wanted.
You can’t give direct feedback because you aren’t testing. If you want to test, try and get into Alpha.
For you it seems to be.
Their sentence was very precise.
Agree to disagree, moving on.
I mean it’s precise if you know what it actually meant. Considering you are way off base, I’m not sure you understand how “precise” it actually is.
