Segregating your customer base into two groups, and saying you are going to listen to one group more than the other, is never a good thing, for any company.
In closed alpha/beta testing?
Yeah, it’s kinda the point.
He really said that?
Like not joking about it
Okay, so - let’s try this again. For us mere mortals, who read things without seeing hidden words in the text in a manner that could only be described as invisible ink - in no way shape or form does it say Blizzard is intending on outright rejecting anyone’s feedback. It says where the best feedback comes from.
I’m not gonna run you through it again.
So you have a problem with someone using a gun analogy to show that you don’t need to experience a thing to know that a thing is bad?
You know exactly what I mean when I say timer. Not enrage timer, not mob/boss mechanic timer, but a CLOCK that counts down to 0 and kicks me out.
Good thing torghast does not have that then.
But the people against additional difficulty never offer any alternatives. Could be because they don’t actually want any difficulty, when that’s not how these systems are designed. Doesn’t matter if it’s timers, crowd control, meters – it’s not “fun”. Twisting it as “not being difficult” by adding these things (which is a lie – it does make them harder) doesn’t change them not wanting any difficulty at all.
“Timers aren’t difficult and only make the game frustrating so remove them” = remove the difficulty
and that opinion could be completely wrong once you played it . Bliz is right in this one
Hand out keys to shadowlands to streamers and butt kissers then say the community can’t comment on it cause they didn’t get a key.
It’s almost as if blizzard doesn’t want feedback and merely want someone with colourful lipstick to pucker up for a sweet spot of loving.
I bet the average person who got shot can give more feedback on why getting shot is bad, vs the average person who wasn’t shot.
Killing the messenger when you can’t kill the message is intellectually dishonest.
They can both tell you that it sucks to be shot.
The only message is the one you are making up in your mind that doesn’t exist in reality.
I can’t argue against conspiracy theories that have no factual backing.
But one can give better “feedback” on being shot.
It is an very bad analogy . We have physical evidence of a gun being bad . We have none whatsoever for torments until you have played through them
We can hope.
Well, they want actual data. Guess which players are the ones actually able to gather that data? (Hint: It’s not the guy forming an opinion on principle on the general forums)
“This ability hit me for 50% of my HP - Seems a bit high”
“I did the tower on Hunter/Druid/Mage and I feel Feral doesn’t output enough DPS to complete it as easily as the other two - My rotation is X/Y/Z”
But no - OP is offended because his opinion is JUST as important. His feelings need to be heard. It’s the dumbest hill to die on I’ve seen in a while.
Been saying this for years about blizzard but you all laughed at me. Well, now I’m laughing at you all.
Alpha testers are basically paid advertisement and given to those who will never see one thing wrong with Blizzard.
To be fair, you can give much better and more specific about why it is bad when you have played it than you can when just speculating based on secondhand reports. You also need to test multiple times under different circumstances to get the full picture.
Shadestalkers at Floor 13 when you started at Floor 1 and you already have ~35 anima powers is a minor annoyance that prevents you from going AFK or taking really any amount of time between pulls. Shadestalkers at Floor 13 when you start at Floor 13 can and will kill you on their own if you aren’t ready for them, with high health, and CC ready to use if needed.
If you just read the blue posts and the WoWhead datamining, Shadestalkers look like they only spawn if you are 30-45 seconds out of combat. In practice, it’s more like 3-4 seconds out of combat, which is a WILDLY different level of misery.
It doesn’t matter if the question to be answered is “Does it hurt to be shot?”. You get the point, stop trying to win a comment point by changing the point I’m making.
Its not a conspiracy theory (taking another shot at the messenger), they said it themselves, straightforward, that they will apply more weight (aka ‘listen to’) some customers opinions moreso than other customers.
Trying to invalidate as not necessary the opinions of part/half/majority of your customer base is not a good thing to do, no matter how much of a wordplay way you do it.
