Well they do listen to our side, and I’m personally very happy that they do. Wrath is better without RDF, but this is a question of perception and perspective. I know I won’t convince you.
Rdf doesn’t reduce wrath to a queing interface. You still have quests, farming, leveling up profs, pvp, dungeons and raids. Rdf just makes it easier to get a group to do a dungeon and makes it easier to quest or farm while you wait for your dungeon to pop.
I mean… people are literally saying that “wrath will not be wrath without rdf” that’s pretty much reducing it to one feature. WOTLKC will have all the zones, dungeons, raids, pvp, profession updates, class design updates, etc. It won’t have its queuing interface for dungeons…
Wrath is worse without RDF.
And that’s precisely why AUTHENTICITY should be the guiding principle, because people will argue about everything and anything. And it’s not like it’s a 50/50 split. Every poll is around 70% for lfd. Every thread is usually 30 people arguing for it and 1 or 2 against it. It’s just a fact the vast majority want it. And that doesn’t matter, because Blizz is going to what they want to do. They haven’t cared about what the players want in forever.
It just boggles my mind they’re tasked with bringing back the pinnacle of the game and decided, “We need to make some serious changes!! No one wants to play the expansion that had 12 million subs the way it was!”
It’s beyond idiotic. You had your Classic. You had your TBC Classic. Now people want Wrath Classic, and they’re being deprived. And that’s wrong. But I’m talking to a wall, so I’ll move on.
Like I said multiple times, agree to disagree.
Wrath was awesome, but it also had several issues. Removing RDF, in my view, is removing one of these issues.
Yes it is.
Wotlk didn’t have RDF until ICC. So are you saying the Naxx, Sarth 3D, Ulduar, and ToC are not wrath?
Nah, that’s why #somechanges exist.
For example: World Buff meta was TERRIBLE for classic. Sometimes it takes time to see the cascading effects of your design.
The entire playerbase wasn’t getting full world buffs just to clear Molten Core, and blizzard took far too long to get rid of it.
I’ve seen this quoted in a few arguments and I think it is interesting. If I am rich today, it most likely is not because of decision I took last week, last month, or even last year. It’s because of work and decision I took years ago. Success is a long term process, not short term. Wotlk didn’t have 12 million subs because of it alone, it had 12 million subs because vanilla was a huge success, TBC was a huge success. What happened in the months/years that followed wotlk? The decline of wow started. Success is measured over long term metrics, not short term.
Come to fountain for inspection, must have GS of XXX was the common catch call on every realm and both sides that I played on, I find it practically impossible if you actually played wrath, you did not see this.
And it becomes Wath V2.0 NOT wrath Classic
For raids, absolutely. For dongeons? Never been inspected, log checked of gear checked for dungeons. Maybe for achievement runs…They are WAY too easy to waste time on that lol
I’m fine with that.
Like we had vanilla 2.0, TBC 2.0.
Who’s this we? Sorry I have no desire for RDF and I’m glad it’s not coming back. RDF had nothing to do with why Wotlk is the goat expansion it’s silly that you think it did though.
Pro-RDF tears taste so delicious.
2,457,597 Downloads of the addon to give some semblance of a proper dungeon finder say that at least that many people is “We”.
Lol no an addon that works nothing like the RDF finder does not equal “We”, I even used the addon because it was much better than the LFG one blizzard implemented does that mean I want RDF? Not everyone wants RDF nor cares about it, It’s time to move on and stop creating false assumptions.
Prepatch dk’s already invalidated the sense of replication being standard. I’m either running 4x dk groups or none when I get to the 5 man grind, the 4x groups wouldn’t be possible if not for the disgusting change which shatters the fabric of reality and time as we know it.
OK well there is myself and the other person, 2 is enough for a “We” so they are correct, and I am certain by the complaints here and elsewhere there is far more, that’s not a false pretense that’s a fact.
Imagine thinking the final patch of wrath defined the entire expansion.
You do know that the dungeon finder tool was not introduced until ICC? So for like 75% of wrath the feature was not part of the game. SO if you loved wrath then you loved it without the feature for the majority of the expac…
