I have doubts.

Probably called someone worse than goofie. But yes, swearing has always been and still is against ToS. The mature filter doesn’t give people a pass. Use curse words at your own risk.

What did you really say

I wonder how on earth that could be avoided.

Well don’t do that, then.

Yeah?

If you hit the little pencil next to your Threads title and select MOVE to Customer Support, maybe a Blue can refresh your memory a little?

You should post in customer support about this. We all know that you won’t though.

THIS!

Blizzard has never allowed profanity, masked profanity, slurs, insults, hateful speech, sexual comments, references to certain body parts/functions, illegal stuff, spam, advertising, etc.

IF reported you most certainly can be penalized for it. Penalties have changed over the years from short suspensions, to Silences, to the current system. Silences were not working so they went back to Suspensions.

  • First offense = week Silence
  • Second offense = week Suspension
  • Third = 2 week Suspension
  • ETC up to license closure

If a GM applies a penalty to the account, that does not drop off unless overturned by an appeal. It will count against the license forever.

We have had these “surprise” debates on the forums since the game released. People shocked that they had to follow the rules in public chat/groups. Shocked that the filter exists to protect kids from people who can’t follow rules, not to give permission to break them.

Way back Blue posts on it.

It has been 20 years, but people still don’t realize that there is a time and a place for things and some stuff is best kept to private chats with friends.

lmao…yeah, the ‘what’ is clearly the wild card.

I dont generally like assuming dishonesty, but this one has something missing.
No one got banned for using the word ‘goofy’.

Oh, thank heavens. So that means I can still sing that SpongeBob SquarePants song in dungeons then. I was worried

Well, yeah. It has always been against the rules.

Swearing in obscure dead languages?
