The problem with your conclusion is it’s been used that way in wow since tbc? wrath? Minimum of 16 years.
You can’t claim something is offensive 15 years later when it’s meaning hasn’t changed within the game.

Based on dates, destiny was taking ideas from wow.
And just because they are owned by the same company, doesn’t mean they are sharing ideas. Blizzard was merely the publisher.
I am still confused how the word “twink” and it’s usage in wow for 16+ years is related to wow and destiny sharing themes.
I chose to do my own thinking. I would advise not only thinking, but looking up some of this stuff as well so you aren’t making unfounded assumptions on topics.

the devs probably didnt care because it has never been a derogatory or demeaning term. People in the gay community have been using that term since like the 70s. It’s what many identify as.

I’m not editing anything because a few people tripped over a few words meant to spark discussion after reflecting on what was written.
I’m well aware the term has been reclaimed, its origins however are still burned into my mind. You can claim whatever you like, that’s not the point I’m making, and you’re trying to derail the train of thought here, I’m not here to repeat myself.
I’m well aware WoW had resources, that again was only to point that the mass audience research was shared and lacking volume. And again, that’s not somehow the problem, Im a big fan of Suramar.
Also Activison-Blizzard (separate from the developer) was the publisher after they bought their shares back from Vevendi so big difference there, not the point.
The thinking that you’re doing is in direct conflict like an abusive relationship. I’m not going to keep m&m trail feeding you to the point that I am making just to relive any kind of trauma either of us may have. That is not doing the thinking, you replied almost instantly without any reflection.

Do you think demography should be used in asset creation?
If so what information would be considered justifying evidence of the population?
Or have some other kind of meaningful discussion about some of the other misconceptions blizzard made in the past with their content.
Who knew that would be such a massive ask.

For anyone who doesn’t want to engage, I don’t think demography should be used in asset creation. The art should come from the artists to make what they would like to make instead of some packet of market research being plopped on their desk and being ordered to make it.

Suramar as a city has existed in the lore since WC3: TFT. Which was released in 2003. Destiny 2 Forsaken didn’t come out until what? 2018?
Suramar in the WotA novel trilogy is described as the crown jewel of the Night Elven Empire.
I highly doubt Blizzard looked at Bungie and copied their homework. Considering Legion came out in 2016.
Mists of Pandaria came out in 2012. The Taken first appeared in the Taken King Expansion. Which was 2015.
If anything mate, Bungie was copying Blizzard.
