They are cheating because win trading is SPECIFICALLY against the rules.
But they’re using a voice program! And obviously it was sarcasm.
So you have realized using discord isn’t cheating then, good for you. You’ve come a long way.
I don’t think you know what sarcasm means.
My guy linked the EULA, linked an irrelevant article in the EULA and then cut the rest of it out.
By your logic, and the EULA you quoted:
Horde having a mass amount of players and overwhelming players is “cheating”.
Since that gives them an “advantage” over other players.
Reroll Horde.
He’s absolutely right. Discord is not used in the game client, has nothing to do with wow and is completely separate. Third party software refers to mods or addons that have been INSTALLED. It’s the same as saying that watching raid strats on Youtube is using “third party software” to cheat the game. It’s silly.
Third-party software definition (noun)
Third-party software is a computer program created or developed by a different company than the one that developed the computer’s operating system . For example, any software running on a Microsoft computer that was not created by Microsoft is third-party software.
Yeah you know how easy it would be to make anything look like cheating?
Here is the code of conduct directly from the wow site
Cheating
You are responsible for how you and your account are represented in the game world. Cheating in any fashion will result in immediate action. Using third-party programs to automate any facet of the game, exploiting bugs, or engaging in any activity that grants an unfair advantage is considered cheating.
Exploiting other players is an equally serious offense. Scamming, account sharing, win-trading, and anything else that may degrade the gaming experience for other players will receive harsh penalties.
Engaging in an activity that grants you an unfair advantage is considered cheating… WELP looks like people who gank are cheating. Looks like people who min max are cheating. Looks like horde dominated pvp servers are cheating.
You see how dumb this lawyer talk can make the word cheating sound?
So you’re comparing ganking
VS.
People willingly going into a server on Discord, putting out an application, getting verified, getting into a channel where they call out que, go through all the mumbo jumbo process, then all get into same BG channel all to cross-server premade and avoid group que limitation.
Is this what I’m getting at?
I’m not comparing a thing. I just showed you how using the definition given to you to explain cheating can be used for anything. Guess you’re too dumb to pick up on that.
Ok now how is this cheating. No one has yet to explain this. How exactly is it cheating?
It’s unclear to me what stops horde from doing the exact same thing?
Just because blizzard disabled an addon that made the function easier doesn’t mean blizzard doesn’t want people to do this. They disabled the decursive addon because it made it easy to decurse. Does that mean blizzard doesn’t want people to decurse?!
- cheats; i.e. methods not expressly authorized by Blizzard (whether accomplished using hardware, software, a combination thereof, or otherwise), influencing and/or facilitating gameplay, including exploits of any in-game bugs, and thereby granting you and/or any other user an advantage over other players not using such methods;
Why do you think Blizzard patched this exact same issue in Classic? Why do you think there is a group limitation for AV que? Why is there a restriction on cross-server ques? Why is alliance abusing all of the above via Discord?
There is? Ive never been a part of this supposed verification. Do you get your information from alex jones?
I dont think Blizzard cares at all.
If they did, they would do things to save Realms.
If they did, they would not offer the boost at all.
If they did, they would not allow transfers into/out of, that kill Realms.
Look to their actions. They dont care.
Now to bring it back, look to what they have done to prevent Alliance AV Premades.
They CLEARLY care about that.
I just told you how dumb it is to link definitions by showing you how they can be used, and what’s the first citation you go to after that… a definition link. LOL. God I know stupidity doesn’t align with faction, but you aren’t helping that stigma.
Here I’ll show you how dumb it is once again.
Guess ganking and imbalanced world pvp is cheating by this definition. See how dumb that is?
Ask blizzard, maybe they patched it out because it was too automated and they didn’t like that. Show me the exact place where they say you are not allowed to voice chat with others or you are not allowed to que at the same time. All you are proving is that they don’t want you to be grouped up while quing together.
If they cared that much about premades they would ban discord from being used while playing wow. See how dumb this sounds?
And the lack of penalty… which is actually really important and you keep leaving it out. TBCC has a penalty for dropping, in Classic there was none.
Conclusory.
Win trading, with or without Discord, is against the EULA. You can’t be this dense.
Yes, it does.
Them actually reaching out to a valid 3rd party partner, and figuring out some way to stop alliance from gaming the system.
That does sound foolish.
Seems they don’t want it fixed that bad then.
