I haven’t played retail since 2019 when Classic released. TBC is my favorite expansion and they won’t give us even one server for it. I’m only playing Wrath because I barely played it originally so it will be new-ish content after Naxx for me.
SoM was released immediately after everyone did the vanilla content for 2 years… Wrath will feel fresh to those of us who didn’t play on private servers (which buffed the content massively btw).
It doesn’t need to be brutally hard. But some level of challenge is desirable. This was achieved in TBC for multiple player skill levels even with no difficulty settings by way of pre-nerf and post-nerf encounters, though they only did that in T5 and it could have been better with gradual nerfs.
And it sucks Blizz isn’t providing an eternal TBC server. But that doesn’t mean to change Wrath to suit your preference. You got your TBC. Now people want their Wrath.
That isnt how it was back then. They are tuning as they go and anyone that doesnt bekieve that has not been part if any if the betas. They are guessing and they are wrong. They were not super hard. But they were not as easy as they are making them now.
Untrue. Not everyone raids. It’s obvious that Blizzard designed H with more in mind than just getting pre-bis for upcoming raiders. Someone people only raid dungeons.
The primary reason is because health and damage are tuned way higher (relatively) in the level 60 version.
There’s quite a gap between Wrath heroics and Cata heroics. Wrath heroics could be buffed without becoming Cata heroics. They will feel even easier than they did back then, so it won’t feel the same unless they’re buffed.
I think the concern is trash would still hit like a wet noodle but have 200% more HP so instead of being bored killing a mob for 5 seconds you are bored killing it for 35 seconds.
