Look I get that that one offended people. I could even be persuaded that ones like that shouldn’t be around.
At the end of the day, it’s about boundaries. I definitely don’t think every flirt and joke on that list needed to be removed. They’re going overboard.
“Nice pants, what’s the drop rate?” Purely juvenile. Not something I’d say. But it is funny, and I don’t think it was harming much of anything.

I understand where you’re coming from, but the employees believed otherwise. I can pretty much guarantee you that all of the ones being removed were most likely jokes around the office that were consistently used. That’s how it was at the gaming company I did some writing for back in the day. The little jokes they had in the game were actually part of the working environment.
Now, I’m old, so these things don’t much bother me. I’m from the generation where they were hilarious and when people weren’t as sensitive to such things. But I also understand that things change and those jokes around the office can make a very uncomfortable environment.

This just isn’t factual.
The people upset about the changes should either buckle up for the ride or maybe take some time off, imo.

Don’t get me wrong his writing is some of the best cosmic horror, but the man frowned on anyone that wasn’t Anglo-Saxon, so I doubt he added metaphors for racism in his writing.
