There's a sickness in the Alliance

No… it’s been in the lore for a hell of a lot longer than Ion.

And they look exactly the same. It has zero to do with what their name is or what you think some difference is as a race.

They.

Look.

Exactly.

The.

Same.

Horde is no different.

Tauren with moose horns and tattoos.

Trolls where only the males are a different skeleton, which is just the Nelf skeleton. Females are just female trolls slightly reskinned.

Nightborne which are a Nelf crap version of the NPCs. They didn’t even spend time to make their faces look right.

And orcs that are just brown.

The only thing unique that Horde got were fox people. Though it’s still the Goblin rig.

Alliance got a brand new unique rig and model.

So are you a troll? Because you’ve been talking in circles. I already mentioned they could use Alleria unique appearance as the basis for a new model. Similarly to the Nightborne. Change the stances add tattoos. Hell, people have sent fanart to Blizzard with design and concept documents showing them how they could do this.

But this concept seems impossible for you. So to me, you are just parroting Ion repeatedly and not showing any independant critical thought.

The majority of players don’t like them. I personally love Kul’tiran and I have 3 of them, but they just don’t appeal to most.

There was an interview with Shani Edwards who said that allied races became a thing because we had asked for Nightborne and the other legion factions to be playable. A lot of us just wanted more customization options for Tauren/Draenei though, but they decided to go with the allied races instead.

Zandalari were very very popular, especially since we wanted Zandalari Paladins to be a thing. You’re right though, we had no choice in the decision of them being an allied race.

Everyone wanted them. Their entire arc was one of the best things WoW has ever had. When the Horde got them, a lot of alliance players were upset because the reason was very poorly explained, especially after we spent so much time with them. A lot of Horde players defended it like it was fine, but I honestly think it was bad storytelling even though I’m happy they’re on the Horde side.

And? Allied Races aren’t a popularity contest.

Yes, because I give you the reason for why Blizz didn’t make Helfs. That absolutely makes me a troll.

Alleria looks no different. Helfs look no different. This has zero to with Ion. Helf lore existed way before his stupidity came along. I never once quoted Ion, either. So I don’t even know where you got that from. You’re just making stuff up.

Velfs were different enough. A different flavor, a different color, a unique animation on their skin and unique hair.

There were bunches of threads asking for certain races. I know a lot.of people who wanted Lightforged. And there were even threads here asking for junker gnomes. People wanted Dark Irons as well.

Some people may not like the choices we got, but others are quite content with them.

Stay bitter if you want, that’s your decision. But those who try to claim some sort of bias are just flat out wrong. Their opinion is not fact.

They sorta are…

Well clearly. Judging by the constant bemoaning, they aren’t.

Well they are not but with the alliance being effectively dead for higher end players the faction will eventually just rot away.

The Alliance dominates M+ invitational and arena. We only lag behind in raids.

So why are you acting surprised as to why people are complaining? Alliance races are very lackluster appearance/lorewise and that’s a fact. People wouldn’t be complaining as much if we were given something that would make us go “ooooh aaahhh” but we’re getting garbage again, uuuuuugh.

High Elves are requested mainly because of lore differences, it has not much to do with appearance. Void Elves were literally Blood Elves, and that’s not what anyone wanted. Not to mention they still have no lore. They’re still a success because they’re “pretty” though, meh.

I just want to know…

Have you been called a “fake Alliance player” already? I’m curious.

It doesn’t matter why they were requested. Blizz wasn’t going to give a carbon copy model of Belfs. They wanted the model to look different. So they made it purple, gave it a unique animation and unique hair with moving effects.

I’m not saying the lore for Velfs is good. Because it’s not. But the model differences were what Blizz cared about the most. And apparently some high school intern made someone happy with the idea of tentacle elves.

I hope you realize you’re wasting your time, it might not take long until the rest of the brigade comes in to “debunk” you with a lot of headcannon.

The Void Elf model isn’t that different either though… It’s literally the same model with a different color.

If Blizzard could come up with a stupid reason for Void Elves, they could have came up with a stupid reason to make a High Elf model that’s different from Blood Elves.

Says the one who’s in every thread bashing the Alliance. I mean seriously just look at your post history.

I could flex all 12 of my alliance alts and I’d still get called a fake Alliance player.

Then don’t give me reasons to.

It’s so sad I can count with the fingers of a single hand the amount of purely Ally players willing to see what’s happening…

What proof do you have their is no bias? Because I have plenty.

In Cataclysm the devs admitted they slacked on the Alliance to do the Goblin areas.

Horde get a rebellion storyline with an altered Barrens zone to represent the True Horde threat. Alliance get to spy on the Horde to see what their storyline is with a robot cat.

Garrosh is responsible not only for half the storyline in MoP, but part of the storyline for WoD with him opening the Dark Portal.

Warlords of Draenor was an expansion entirely about the history of the Orcs. Draenei and Yrel was a supporting actor, forgotton and left to rot in Tanaan jungle. Some of the best Horde themed mounts and Armor came from here.

BfA races announced has Kul Tiran, who Blizzard are so lazy on making they delay the release of the already completed Zandalari to work on them.

Allied races for Alliance mostly fanfiction made up on the spot, or had little to no interest. Horde are all requested races from the expansion they were in.

BfA starts again with a new Horde leader driving the main narrative, with the Alliance once again playing a supporting role. Allowing their cities to get destroyed once again and then turning around and helping the Horde again as a support character in Saurfangs 5 cinematics about what it means to be Horde.

Also now the storyline allows the Horde character to choose a leader to follow for the storyline with a special after storyline meeting? So whens Alliance getting that? Oh Tyrande and Anduin forgot all about Teldrassil? Oh well.

At various Blizzcons they’ve openly mocked the Alliance mutliple times. Something they never dared do to the Horde in 15 years.

That is not correct.

Am I a fake horde player now? I must be. I spend the majority of my time on horde characters but I still want alliance to succeed.

We all play the same game.
