There will be no reparations

No its not. Giving back what you stole didn’t attone for the crime itself. It is just happening anyway, since you won’t keep what you stole after being sentenced anyway, you still get sentenced.

Same for the Horde. They didn’t just occupied zones, they genocided a race. That is not made up by just leaving the zones. Get real.

Well that didnt quite work as expected now, i dont know how the rest of you feel but personally this is the least invested ive been in wow’s story.

That relies on a questionable assumption that World War 2 and the events leading up to it were neccessary for that to happen.

Arguably the world as a whole would probably had been better off. The U.S. and the U.S.S.R would each have been without their German scientists to launch both into a nuclear arms race, nor would the Iron Curtain have risen in the same way.

Without a Germany to partner with, perhaps Japan would have learned to curtail it’s ambitions and both the Chinese and many Europeans would have been spared a genocide or three.

Maybe the United States would not have tried to impose a Pax Americana on the planet, and we wouldn’'t be looking at the foundation of a theocratic empire now.

I mean…didn’t it? You can just look at GD or the SF and you’ll see posters Screaming from atop Hyjal with a microphone down toward Org about how they’ll never forgive the Horde and to expect a reckoning.

Sure some players aren’t invested due to the fact they can see blizzard holding onto the puppet strings, while others will gladly be strung along if it means they can get what they perceive as the most euphoric moment of destroying their enemies, it may take days, weeks, months, years, but if blizzard continues to string them right, by giving them little things here and there, they’ll stick around.

Yea well all this is circumstantial until we get numbers, i can counter that the narrative alienated lots of people and the only ones left in this game are the ones that are invested (lots of wow refugees on ffxiv) however we dont know that until we actually get numbers to crunch, i only intended to speak for myself since i already entertained the possibility im no longer the target audience.

FF14 started out rocky as hell but most of it was surprisingly bang-on for me. Personally I hated Stormblood but Heavensward and what I did of Shadowbringers was A+. It at least had me invested enough in the story that I felt too weird to use my race-change potion when hrothgar came out, because it actually felt like my Roegadyn character with his dumb ruby afro was too “canon” to want to change, which is something I never felt about in WoW before.

I love my potato on ffxiv, Heavensward blew me away, shadowbringers spoiled me that is my new standard, ill never be satisfied by anything lower now :sob:

You know whats funny to me. Stormblood felt more like an ongoing conflict than the entirety of BfA.

And you spend like half the leveling experience NOT fighting in a war directly.

Even if Blizzard made the Horde do reparations what would that even look like?
Would it even be satisfying?

We already talked about this, it always devolves to a victimizing whatabautism with both sides entrenched on their uncompromising opinions, reasonable voices turn extreme then the turd flinging begins until a new thread opens then the cycle begins anew.

in other words, no.

Spoken true! What are cries for reparations but calls from the weak and powerless for a handout.

“Come and take yer ‘reparations’ from me” if you are able. Me and mine will be waiting.

Oh hey i remember you are on my server usually talking in trade chat

That I am my friend! Feel free to join our ranks oh guildless one- and know when you have brothers and sisters like us at your side- there’s not going to be any alliance scum to take away anything from you.

EDIT: I am chuckling at the meme Galenorn… and I know YOU as well! Hope you have a happy day!

What a dumpster fire.

Its not like we wanted a bunch of traitorous cowards taking over the Horde.

Blizzard wrote us into the ground and forgot we where still caked in mud.

What bothers me most in BFA it seems all Horde characters seem to treat the whole Teldrassil issue like it was an unintended accident they had nothing to with or had selective amnesia when they were fighting Alliance immediately after this “terrible tragedy”.

Seems dishonest and frustrating.
And Blizzard giving murky restituitions like Battle for Lordaeron, Siege of Dazaralor or Darkshore Warfront (plus quest) each felt like two step forwards and one back.
And to some maybe it felt it was more like one step forward and two back.

Fact of the matter is nobody seems satisfied and it all led to shadowlands.
And to be honest I have little to no interest i the whole expansion. I feel like it actually worsens it by cheapening death! Varian died heroically? Well jump in a portal and visit him in spooky shadowlands for a cup of tea and crackers.

I will mostly like skip this one or get it on sale when the last patch comes through.

well i was going to do that but there is no sign of sylvanas on 9.0 so ill stick around till she appears again then come back after 9.3.

I’d say that is mostly because horde players would cry for ages otherwise.

I mean look at them how they cry that even Tyrande gives horde players some mean words. I mean what the hell? YOU represent the faction that genocided her people, you can be lucky that she doesn’t kill you on sight.

They even cry about the fact that teldrasil is getting mentioned in SLs here and there “shaming” them for it.

Problem are and have allways been horde players.

Problem is Blizzard is trying to please five different groups and failing to deliver anything acceptable as a result.
