Nerf or buff. Honestly, if they were nerfed, arguably, the content would be “harder” or more tedious.

Hero classes start at a higher level than the other classes, they also have a unique starting zone.
Hero classes doesn’t mean you’re stronger, this is a common misconception.
It should “ALWAYS” be a Hybrid class, always! Pure DPS class being beat by a hybrid is wrong!
Agreed and Hybrid should not be out dpsing DPS spec only classes. You cannot roll a Hybrid that can do everything and then say you want it buffed to be more viable then the classes that can only do one thing!
Cuz obviously deathknights arent busted same with demonhunters and monks and evokers all perfectly tuned to rock the expacs they’re released in.

I wouldn’t bother that sim is straight up not accurate.
if you run the sim you will find compared to emperical data like logs that they cast like 30-40% less melee attacks and other messed up metrics.
Whoever wrote that sim isn’t very good at their job.
I wonder how many people would still have the opinion of your spec can clear the content so its fine if blizzard combed this thread and set all of their spells to do 90% less damage, I can only imagine the rogue outrage if they logged in one day and could only do 900 dps. Its fine though, clears the content right

The DK BiS sim is at ~8500dps.
The Ret BiS sim is at ~6745dps.
That is nowhere near what you quoted. Just because some DK’s cleverly SNAPSHOT and BURST to 15k, doesn’t mean that’s what they’re capable of (imagine if boss fights lasted like 7-8 minutes, their dps would 100% fall off and not be anywhere close to 15k without LUST). Most of these fights don’t last that long, given player skill and how well other classes are also performing. LETS BE REAL, SHALL WE?
unholy dk’s already do 10k+ idk how you’re getting 8500 when they’re literally breaking 10k NOW in naxx.
SHORT FIGHTS, every single boss has LUST. It’s about scaling, snapshotting a gargoyle WITH LUST.
Your burst isn’t relevant when talking about class overall dps, unless you’re zerging OS 3d

He literally told you the sim settings, how would the dk bis sim be at 8500? there’s already 15k dps logs from them, they have a 12k dps patchwerk…

Allowing more than one class to cover buffs in WotLK is good and bad. You have more flexibility in classes now, but you can no longer give something unique anymore.
In TBC, that one bad player in your group could be an ele shaman, drop the right totems and Lust when called for, but only needed to push one button after that and be fine. No one even cared if they were bottom DPS.
In WotLK, classes are less special, so it’s harder to justify giving spots to dps that parse low.

Because, that’s how SiMs have always worked. We’re looking at super short fights. The second time around. Everyone knows them, everyone knows their class. I didn’t SiM it at 6 minutes, I SiM’d at 3, like ALL normal sims. It sounds like you’ve never played this game. There isn’t a single boss fight that only lasts 45 seconds, that even WORTH a SIM in retail even going back to WOD as current content. You’re using the tool wrong.

Lets try our reading skills again. You don’t SiM to see how well you burst. It’s niche. Like OS 3d. DK’s are simming higher than every other class at 45s. I checked them all, and they’re all about the same. That’s why the 45s SIM isn’t right. It’s not going to be right.
