There is no reason to support RDF

ya no one is excited for wotlk its literally 1/18th the amount of people who liked classic and tbc

You could not be more wrong about everything. Changes are driving people away. People are here to replay the games from the past.

GMs not existing to ban gold sellers is just another of many changes that shouldn’t exist and is driving people away.

And still, Wrath is the most popular version of WoW.

Amberley, if you keep up your foolish attempts to have an honest discussion, you might be labeled a troll.

They used to ban gold sellers and botters.

These are changes.

Changes are responsible for these problems.

How does being able to queue for a dungeon anywhere (let’s turn a blind eye to the fact you can pretty much do that through PvP, cuz RDF BAD!!!) “hurt” the leveling experience? What, you out level the quests in your quest log? You can do that without ever running a dungeon if you you use a quest add-on…cause you know it’s 2022 and not 2008. Oh, you’re a hardcore gamer? You don’t use those? Cool beans, doesn’t mean I can’t, in a game that you didn’t design, and explicitly allows it. So, please tell the court, how does the LFD/RDF hurt the “leveling experience” in a game you neither designed, had a part in designing, nor sat on the creative design board of. Oh, it’s just your opinion? Cool, I can get behind that. Just understand that I, and many other players in this MASSIVE MULTI-PLAYER ONLINE ROLE PLAYING GAME, we don’t share that opinion.

Get rid of the badges/emblems and useful bag, and the RDF/LFD becomes nothing more than an easier LFG tool, that by sheer ease of use allows players to engage with more of the game’s content faster and easier. So, please, tell me how it hurts the “leveling experience”

Lemonfont I really wished you were Shanxi who I have been told you are but Shanxi denied it but secretly I will envision you as my best friend Shanxi who I miss dearly and will still avenge

I will say that RDF DID help turn a much larger percentage of the players into altoholics and helped usher in this “choose your character” Super Smash Bros version of retail through ease of leveling

Mains kind of stopped being a thing when you could have 8 classes at max easily.

People did it before, but it was far fewer and in between. All ease of leveling contributed to this though (as do boosts and Joyous Journeyz)

Layering drove people away? Increased spawn rates drove people away? Improved mailboxes drove people away?

No. Even the awful TBC purchasable mount isn’t going to make people leave the game.

What’s making people leave classic is lack of changes and lack of attention from blizzard. Chinese farmers have taken over servers. Gold buying is rampant.

Servers are dying and blizzard refuses to implement more cross server play potential. What they DID include at release massively improved the game.

Faction imbalance is out of control because blizzard refuses to nerf horde passives, or buff alliance passives. They also refuse to adjust world pvp or address the consequences of faction imbalance.

And the people beat the game way faster now yet blizzard only feels comfortable releasing pre-nerfed versions. Not overhauling raids to make them more challanging. Or God forbid add a new raid. Or even just rework ones from older expansions.

Also WoW refuses to go on a f2p model. As if Fortnite kids are ever going to flock to a game with a monthly subscription.

Change the game man. Change it now before it dies inevitably.

You are so blatantly wrong here.

Plateaued then fell after cata released, you are wrong here as well.

Do I need to post the graph?

There is no reason to not support RDF.

The only argument is favor of not having RDF is you are a booster or a GDKPer and want control so you can gatekeep content and protect your cash cow.

BIG DIFFERENCE between lack of attention and lack of changes.

Gold farmers unchecked, gold buying, awful server populations, ridiculous faction imbalance, these are merely due to lack of attention and upkeep and care.

Nerfing Every Person For Theirselves (sounds better than Will To Survive, eh? still as neutral) isn’t going to fix Benediction’s balance and queues.

How does being able to queue for a dungeon anywhere

Actually let me rephrase. It’s not the queuing that I really have a problem with. I mean you can open the LFG tab while you’re questing in westfall…noones stopping while forming a group while you quest.

It’s really the teleporting that is the big problem to me.

You can do that without ever running a dungeon if you you use a quest add-on

Bro don’t make arguments or advocate for things that only work for turbo nerds who are already addicted to WoW. We need to appeal to casual gamers.

LFD/RDF hurt the “leveling experience”

Bro it’s literally obvious…you get teleported in the MIDDLE of your quest to a dungeon.

Imagine if you’re playing Dark Souls and your que randomly pops while you’re trying to progress and you get teleported into a random pvp battle. This is such tremendously bad game design that it is UNJUSTIFIABLE TO IMPLEMENT.

There is no reason to support RDF

The only reason you support RDF is if you’re lazy and want to abuse it and kick people

I would honestly be totally down to accept RDF for levelling dungeons as a compromise. For heroics and stuff make it LFG.

this is how summoning works in DS games(outside of bloodborne/sekiro haven’t beaten that one yet), you Q and then get a pop up saying you’re being summoned, etc.

LFD did increase the the alt run, but it was still a grind. There weren’t as many heirlooms in Wrath as people think there were, and the while the xp was was nice, it wasn’t this autobahn of leveling that people seem to think it was. The incentivizing for tanks and healers to sign up for LFD helped, but that also wasn’t part of LFD when it first dropped that came later. And quite honestly, a lot of the changes that DID streamline that superfast alt leveling came with Cata, not LFD. But because they’re only a year apart, people have just mentally marked RDF/LFD as the start of the Fall of Rome.

It is what it is, I’m just incredibly frustrated that Blizzard is making changes saying they’re listening to the community while obviously not. Very few people actually care to come to a compromise - like removing badges/emblems and the useful goods bag - to make the game as close to what it was instead of what it’s becoming, and that IS Wrath Retail. Already on the same code, already with some of retails features, paid boosts…

Somebody played a lot of retail lmao

Pro Flyer? by any chance???

If you don’t like Running time, assemble a group that will grind that one 5 times in a row. Then you save trips.

PvP =/= PvE

Bam, your rebuttal is DOA.

Not in regards to the OP posts statements, same thing happens with the BG Q from anywhere. Why is this instance not also considered immersion breaking?
