lol you’re literally the worst kind of player…
- Blizzard clearly stated we’d only be flying in the 4 zones. Maybe grab a dictionary and look up the word scam.
- Are you new? no rational human being expected to be able to fly in the maw
lol you’re literally the worst kind of player…
And removing Eye of the Jailer, that’s a HUGE +++
Look, I’m pro flying at launch too but:
Korithia is tiny. Like extremely tiny. I get the vibe they originally intended players to hoof it around here on foot (lmao)
Not being able to fly in Expansion Island has been a thing for a very long time. MoP. Cata (Molten Front comes to mind). BC had aisle of Quel’Danas.
Man has his priorities straight
Ya but TBC to MOP you could buy flying.
I already said I was pro flying at launch.
Most of those expansions handled flying in expansions similar to SL (and Legion with Argus). The difference is we feel it much more from Legion onward because flying was barred then lifted right as we headed into those zones, making flight in the X.0 expansion zones feel borderline worthless.
It feels awful and I hope we never have such a long delay before flight again. Pathfinder, renown or any time gate.
At least this time, the .0 zones still have some relevence depending on how much you played Pre-9.1.
I still got lots of stuff to do in the .0 zones because I was waiting for flying and only doing bare minimums before flying since, yanno, 99% of the rewards from .0 open world zones are aesthetics, which can wait.
Well, even if my chars doing most of their stuff in Korthia don’t come back very often to main SL, I still have (and may have more) alts for whom flying will be great. It’ll also be good if I want to take a break from Korthia, and just want to beat stuff up in current content. Or even just for making it easier to get to the BMAH.
Frankly, being able to mount in the Maw, and no Eye of the Jailer is a much bigger deal than flying.
All i care about is alt leveling and i fffff hate every new zone so flight will make alt 3 - 12 possible… besides that i am always in a battleground/arena at end game so flight has always been as useless as a raid
They already had a zone they took away ground mounts from us…Imagine what crackpot idea they’ll think up to punish the players in 10.0
It’s all so tiresome. Once again we are the beaten wife to blizzard’s belligerent husband.
There’s also lots of stupid jump puzzle treasures I’ve yet to get, so there’s that too. No more “treasure dangling off the edge of a tiny root, you take one wrong step and your character goes flying 10 feet forward off the tiny ledge you were on because the game doesn’t know how to handle walking physics when it comes to stepping off of ledges” crap like that STUPID waterfall they did in WoD in Shadowmoon Valley.
Stepping off of a ledge and falling STRAIGHT DOWN is near-impossible in this game, yet they love designing jumping puzzles around a mechanic that just doesn’t work right at all.
Whoa. Did you just compare not getting what you want in a game to being physically and emotionally abused in real life?
Learn to analogy, bro.
They gave us something without giving us something. It’s very much a litigation lawyer tactic.
Before joining Blizzard Ion Hazzikostas was an associate in the Litigation Department at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP, a Washington, DC based law firm. His areas of expertise included white-collar criminal defense and large-scale internal investigations. As of 2013, his license to practice law is still active.
So there you have it.
Well…
There is something to be said about the mentality behind it all.
WoW players continually playing WoW even though they constantly complain about how unfun and bad WoW is, vs. a mistreated spouse constantly complaining about their spouse but yet refusing to leave an abusive relationship.
The analogy is not comparing WoW to the actual abuse; it’s comparing the mentality behind doing something you claim you hate (staying with an abusive partner/unhealthy relationship vs continuing to play a game you claim you hate).
Being disappointed and hating something are two entirely different concepts. Shills, trolls, and attention seekers aside I’d wager most that complain are those who do not hate the game, but love it and are merely disappointed to such an extent that they want to vent in hopes that someone will see their disappointment and commiserate . A perfectly valid human response.
The real benefit of flying is for alts.
I have 2 waiting for wings.
That understandable. I can get behind that. A catch-up mechanism so to speak.
Yeah they’ve done this for a while. New zones and can’t fly in them.
Isle of Queldanis in TBC
Molten Front in Cata.
Isle of Thunder and Timeless Isle in MoP.
Argus in Legion.
The Maw in Shadowlands.
Depends.
I hear some of the complainers saying how “the whole game is trash” and “everything in the game is trash” and “(insert game here) is better in every way!” and “Ever since Activision Bought Blizz, WoW sucks!” blah blah blah.
Some of these people have been complaining about everything, non-stop, for years. We’ve all complained, heck, it’s so easy to do. There’s a lot to complain about in WoW, but there’s a difference between enjoying a game but being frustrated at certain aspects, and literally being a Debbie Frowner about absolutely everything in the game.
Even when something positive does happen, some of these people attack it saying it doesn’t make up for the “terrible” stuff everywhere else in the game. Just look in this thread, or the thread about Korthia and Casuals, for easy examples.
