This is the bigest scam. There is no flying in oribos and no flying in korthia. Only flying in the 4 covenent zones where we wont be spending any of out time.
When flying was unlocked in BFA we were allowed to fly in nazjatar. and onwards,
This flying is literally useless a scam how can you say ur unlcoking flying when it isnt even usable anywhere.

I’m looking forward to flying actually - I’ll be able to more fully explore the zones (especially Revendreth) from the air. I really don’t plan on spending much time in the Mall or Korthia really.

Remember the legion add on zone? Couldnt fly there either. Its not like this is new.
Honestly it is a really crappy thing for Blizzard to do they know it’s anti player and it’s not what their player base wants. I hope there is some big changes in leadership soon to revert all of these baffling decisions that have been a huge determent to the game that has been made during the last few xpacs. Best thing they can do is bring Gregg Street back and give him the top spot in game development.

It was pretty obvious to me that flying would be useless given how they have designed the zones this time – so they are giving us flying “early”, because it isn’t relevant at all for current content. By locking up the zones the way they have, requiring taxis through Oribos between them, and having the Maw and Korthia all no fly zones, they have effectively made flying irrelevant for current content, but get to say “well, we gave you flying earlier and with no pathfinder!”.
Essentially they haven’t budged an inch on flight.
In FF14, all mounts fly.
Flying to dungeons all I care about
Why? You can unlock dungeon teleports so you don’t need to fly anymore.

Honestly flying in Revendreth is the biggest thing as imo it’s the hardest zone to get around in on the ground.
Well “mostly useless”. Flying in the other four zones will allow easier alt leveling and anima gathering, at least from WQ’s. And expect prices for herbs and ore to plummet when druids can again take to the sky.
Considering how, unlike the Maw, Korthia seems to be pretty barren in terms of features and mob density so getting around on a land mount isn’t that big a deal.
I’m ok with the perk, especially considering that it’s basically just being thrown at us. It’s not time gated behind a rep grind or anything.
what has me irritated is we arent supposed to be able to get flying until july 6th YET i have seen people flying around the covenant zones on akama server somehow they exploited the renown levels
