There is no flying in 9.1

It’s still a really bad analogy because people stay in abusive relationships for all kinds of reasons - many times because they fear for their lives, or the lives or their kids, if they leave. Or because they have no option if they do leave. That’s hardly the case with WoW.

Agreed, as I said there are shills, trolls, attention seekers, and people who just want to hear themselves speak. It’s up to use to not give those people an ear.

Didn’t you say your subscription time was up in less than 2 weeks? Are you going to keep posting right to the end?

Again, it’s about the mentality and the behavior of said people.

You see a lot of similarities between the two groups of people, why do you think so many people compare these types of WoW players to people with Stockholm Syndrome, or people in abusive relationships?

Yes, it’s true, quitting WoW doesn’t endanger your life, and quitting WoW doesn’t make it so you might end up homeless and on the street…

But…

…some of these WoW people act like it would. And that’s where the comparisons come from.

Lol i like to fly in the mall too.

We’ll be able to zoom to any piece of the campaign that happens in any of the 9.0 questing zones.

That’s almost literally the only worthwhile thing.

Am I not allowed to do so?

Broken shore? You could fly there. Same with nazjatar, mechagon, and taanan. Oh you mean Argus? Ok that’s 1 add on zone you couldn’t fly in in the last 3 xpacs.

That’s not the point, but ok.

Puhlease do you think the people that moan about flying actually bother to do research on anything? They ain’t got time for dat! Too much entitlement to be had.

Hi,

I don’t mind not flying in those spots … but I created a topic that the FLYING ability has been either disabled or at least changed, since I can not get THE LAST SIGIL on my character on the Horde side, or the character on the Alliance side.

I’m stuck and Blizzard support has ignored the issue and has had 2 replies that are inappropriate by (supposed) GM’s that obviously can not read or are told to not reply to anything!

Both Wowhead and Icy Veins are dead, and only feature the emails from Blizzard which have a bunch of troll replies, and no one knows about the issue, or if this is an account bug, or an intentional lock!

My guess is that it is an account lock of some sort since my neighbor (to whom I bought his first account and got nothing for it!!!) was able to complete the series and fly. Since he plays on my secondary computer (as well as his own at home) I’m guessing that BLIZZARD has locked the account because it would seem that there is someone trying to get flying on the same set of IP’s, which would be understandable, however this is not the case, and they have (up until now – on my 3rd week of this!!!) ignored everything.

Any help on this would be appreciated, but since I have even gone so far as to uninstall the game, and reinstall it, I am guessing that there is an account lock on their end.

I (honestly) hope this gets fixed but I am fast losing interest and I have been here since the first month of the game … a refugee from EQ … and I’m almost ready to leave this game. The hassles are not worth it anymore, and when their leadership is so screwed up as to not prioritize major issues that affect the players and their enjoyment of the game, I end up thinking … what am I spending the money for?

BTW, I donated the account to my neighbor/friend because he has Parkinson’s and needed some entertainment in his life. I didn’t even get a thank you from Blizzard. Just a FU for it!

1). Account sharing (regardless as to why) is against the rules unless it is a parent/legal guardian and their child. If you want to help this person with Parkinson’s, then help them set their own account up, and offer to pay for their monthly sub.

2). Are you sure you have all of the prerequisites? You must be Renown 44, and there will be a quest in the Sanctuary of Guidance that leads to the Last Sigil (the starting quest isn’t actually CALLED that).

3). The actual questline is started by a quest called “The Vault of Secrets” from Tal-galan.

Ion doesn’t know what he’s doing - none of the devs do. This was pretty frustrating to see and is just a tiny smidgen of all of the awful things they’ve done to this game. Fk Ion and all the management that oversees the direction of this game, I wish they were fired ASAP. They’ve been putting the game in the trash for years they don’t deserve to work on WoW any longer.

It’s not new but it is pretty damn annoying. No fly zones should never be progression zones, or have only minimal progression occur in them. I believe someone already stated it, but ActiBlizz is still salty about their “No flight from here on” proclamation being thrown back in their face.

Semper Fi! :us:

  1. There is no need to fly in Oribos
  2. There is a reason why we can’t fly in the Maw which has the new zone connected to it.

Does it suck to not have flying in the new zone in the Maw? Sure, but does it need it? Nope.

This is probably part of the reason.

The only other zone in the game I can think of that has a no-flying zone connected to a flying zone is Pandaria, and there’s a huge ocean separating Pandaria from the Timeless Isle, that you’d probably die of fatigue before you manually flew to the Timeless Isle anyhow.

They probably did not want to be flinging people off their flying mounts to prevent flying in Korthia but allow flying in the Maw. And/or people could just fly way high in the air and use a glider once Korthia dismounted them and get to places that were unintended.

Who the heck flags this crap. Pretty sure flagging for no reason is against tos.

Of course it is. Because just imagine if you were able to play in the Maw and then you get to that new zone and POOF! there goes your mount and you fall to your death and lose Stygia that you may not be able to get back? People would be livid.

Rightfully so. And again, being able to get to the other islands in Korthia earlier than intended by using gliders/demon wings/etc, too.

So yeah I can see why the Maw is no-fly.
