i actually straigth up got scammed i finished all of korthia “unlocked flying” and still can’t fly on my main or any characters in shadowlands.
A blizzard looks like a child throwing a tantrum.
My players won’t fly because I don’t want to
But blizzard we like to fly
All this for what? Take triple time to do a daily quest or see this wonderful art design?
so, not being able to fly in 2 areas is not being able to fly anywhere. Timeless Isle, Isle of Giants, the island Throne of Thunder’s on, Argus, Silvermoon, Molten Front, Ghostlands, Exodar, Azuremyst Isle, Bloodmyst Isle., this isn’t a new thing. There’s plenty of places we can’t fly in the game, that don’t make flying useless. Is it inconvenient, sure, but most of the places you can’t fly are pretty compact. You can get from one side of Korthia to the other in like 2 minutes, does that really need sped up? Part of it is the way in which Mawshrooms and treasures, and Maelie are acquired. Everyone would be done in Korthia so fast if we could fly to all that stuff n super farm rep. It’s likely to keep us focused on their new areas for more than a few minutes a day. I get that it’s annoying but nobody should be surprised, it happens to areas almost every xpac, and I’m sure it’s to prevent farming everything right away, or something along those lines. I’m all for making the older zones flying friendly now though. What could flying in Argus or Timeless Isle really hurt many years later? If they’d stop putting so many of the rares, treasures, catchup items, etc… in the newest zones, we would likely not be prevented from flying there. That’s how BFA got away with it, they didn’t add a million things to Mechagon/Najatar.
Not really hurt about no flying in korthia, there’s not really any reason go there other then catch up gear and rep. Most player base has done pretty much everything there by now.
You did something wrong, because this has been in the game for quite awhile, and it’s worked.
You sure you completed the questline, and did everything? Did you use the consumable item you got? (I remember there being one).
I believe this shows an even bigger issue with Shadowlands: It’s disjointed. We’ve had a connected world for almost two decades; in all previous expansions we were put in a large connected map with smaller zones added in the following patches. Now we’re put through a loading screen between each zone.
P.S. Yes Patrick, I’m aware that there’s loading screens between continents.
I think they just like chilling invisible, and watching people get rocked trying to make it to the world boss. Or, maybe the big cheese was like “nobody gets a mushroom without climbing the damn tree!!!”
I don’t really see the purpose to flying in Oribos, tbh. There’s not “tiers” to it other than a small area where Brokers hang out.
Korthia is small enough you can get from one side to the other in like, 3 minutes, so I wouldn’t say you really need flying there.
The biggest thing is how long it takes to get from one zone to another. If they were all connected that wouldn’t be an issue, but since you have to go through Oribos every time it takes like 3-5 full minutes to get from one place to another.
The maw, however, is an entirely different story. But I guess their “big dangerous zone” wouldn’t be so dangerous if you could just fly over everything, lol.
And no flying the auction house or bank of Stormwind! Augh! that means that thereʻs no flying in azeroth!!
Aaaugh!
… annnd Scene.
