It’s certainly one of the most popular things to complain about in GD. Gotta give ya that.
i am still not sure what warbands are all about. i mean, why doesn’t “warband bound” just mean “account bound”?
all resources should be account wide at this point.
why on earth should i have crests rotting on one toon that another toon needs? and it should transfer 1:1. if I have the resource on a toon, it means I earned it. it shouldn’t matter if I earned it on a “main” or an “alt”. it was my time in game that earned the currency.
we have all had farming toons that fed gold to alts. al resources should work this way.
No I agree with this and have no doubt people do. Why would you listen to feedback or complaints from people though that are engaging in a system they don’t like advocating for changes to it that go against the people who do enjoy it?
For the same reason I have to listen to mythic raiders and title chasers asking for timers for delves.
People have opinions. Really up to you to engage with them or not.
But Blizzard will do Blizzard and forum feedback really has very little to do with it.
This is also how changes are made that potentially lead to improvement. If you only listen to “yes men” saying “system is great, love it, nothing to worry about” you often get stagnancy.
With events like MDI or TGP, I doubt M+ is going away. I would not be upset with another end game pillar aside from delves being added to the game, however.
Leave M+ in the game, give more options of end game content. Let those who enjoy sweating out those hard/high keys keep their fun while folks who want a different type of progression do their thing.
Probably to make it more appealing to those people that aren’t enjoying themselves.
You’ve already captured the people that run keys in excess of the reward tracks, they’re not likely to go anywhere unless you really mess up because the nature of the system facilitates their desire for higher difficulty with its infinite scaling and prestige with the title push.
The lower end players, those struggling in lower keys, are more like to quit if things get too frustrating or feel unrewarding, and on the bell curve there are far more of those types of players than there are of the former, hence more money to be had serving them. Keeping in mind you’ve already captured the hardcore players with the infinitely scaling system, and it’s basically just free money.
I just searched timers for delves and came back with 0 responses on the forums so where are you hearing this?
Or you do what blizz did and give them a whole brand new endgame pillar of content that they can engage with
Here is the one that took off the other day.
It was so popular it’s been flagged.
It’s not that hard to find comments about it here though.
This again???
The difficulty to get the top crests went up, the affix is annoying the pool isn’t fun. Even top m+ players are not liking it from what i hear.
That’s just not addressing the issue those players are having.
Which is fine if their loss in engagement with M+ is something you want, but I don’t think it is considering it’s so much easier to actually cap your Delve gear through running lower end M+, which is where the problems are, hence.
Then what is that issue? Cause Its varied in this thread to oh its too hard now but we still have the data showing the same amount of toons are making milestones as ksm and ksh as previous seasons. Its not rewarding enough when 8’s give you access to mythic tier ilvl. So what exactly is the issue?
From a complete outsider’s perspective, it seems like M+ is now tuned for organized groups, with no more “pug friendly” levels. If that’s truly the case, I would think they would remove the queue entirely, forcing the old style “enter with fully formed group” method. Perhaps that would be good? In general, if the content can’t be done by random groups (by design/intention) then it’s pointless to allow people to throw themselves at it with no real hope of success. Obviously that would shrink the population of players, but maybe by less than is imagined.
If I had to guess, because I can’t speak for everyone, probably a combination of reward track adjustment going into the season, tank nerfs, untested affix/dungeon interactions, bugs, hard CC no longer interrupting casts, general increase in difficulty, and probably a bunch of other things upon which others could better articulate.
Meanwhile there are still less unique runs this Season than were in S1 of DF, and keep in mind that more people reaching these milestones, assuming it’s even the case, is to be expected when the road there has been cut short (both by the key squish and combining fort / tyr weeks into one score).
This does not affect the milestones as previously before the squish they required 13/14’s for ksm and 17/18’s for KSH now its 6/7’s for ksm and 9/10s for KSH you squish those previous down and they match up. The fort/tyr change would factor a role for sure.
Its easier now. Previously you could not upgrade hero track gear into mythic ilvl range and now you can. You can still get myth ilvl gear by doing 8’s the previous 16’s that did not reward you any way of getting myth ilvl gear.
i can already see it.
Blizzard: You think this is bad… hold my adult beverage.
Hopefully that doesn’t happen, though.
I walked on a crack in the sidewalk while going under a ladder. Then a black cat ran in front of me, and I jumped out of the way… Ended up breaking a mirror, so I think your good on the luck. Please share.
That’s exactly how it affects them.
You don’t need to push M+ as far as in previous seasons, hence the path has been shortened.
You can ignore it if you want, but reality is there no matter how any of us feel.
Wrong.
S3 of DF you could upgrade a Hero piece 2 tiers into Myth with the appropriate crests, S4 was the same as S3, and in S2 of DF you could upgrade a Hero piece to match base Myth track.
You don’t get Myth track gear doing 8s (previously 16s) this season, not even in Vault, and if you’re still talking about being able to reach the ilvl of Myth gear with Heroic that’s been a thing since the crest system was introduced.
There are absolutely still pug friendly levels of m+, the problem is people don’t want to do them because delves gave them equal or better gear hand over fist for less effort, and people don’t want to learn / progress gradually they just want to clear whatever gives them higher ilvl than what they’ve already got.
Meanwhile people who are more generally in tune with m+ are pugging +10s weekly for vault still.
You get gilded crests. gilded crests = mythic ilvl crafted gear. Where do you get gilded crests from? 8s
