There is no doubt that this is going to go down as the worst season in M+ history

People keep making a lot of comparisons. I didn’t play S4 of DF, so I don’t have any anecdotal frame of reference for it next to this season.

I’d be a little surprised if it drops as hard as others in the next couple of weeks, too, given the upcoming update. I kind of expect the season to run much closer to Season 1 DF, based on that graph.

it was pretty toxic when augvoker was introduced tbf…
but i have found m+ to blow for a while now, as well as arena.
dunno what theyre doing with m+ and pvp tbh

I would be more interested in seeing total timed key run comparisons too. That data I posted is ALL runs, including those that fail, so would be interesting to compare them in that regard.

No it’s not we have sl seasons for that too. The fact is despite key range 10, 15 or 20 the milestone achievements such as ksm amd ksh are standard points based on the key range number. The amount of people reaching those milestones this season is the exact same as any other season in the same timeframe.

A breakdown of key levels would be nice, too. Feels like the dead zones are (relative to the squish) wider than previous.

Number of unique runs.

That’s to be expected when you lower the range of keys people run and cut the number of weeks they need to be engaged to reach their previous plateau in half by no longer separating weeks into fort / tyr.

if thats your metric than you would be wrong. The 2-10 key range of old has been rebranded as delves so we would need to count the 11-20 key level unique runs and TWW has more of them.

I wouldn’t.

That’s dumb, Delves =/= M+ and this necessarily assumes that all the people who formerly did low keys wouldn’t set foot in the new M+ system.
Keeping in mind how progression works this season, with so many people getting so much gear they’ll struggle to max out through purely Delves compared to just farming crests in lower keys – you literally get 3x as many crests for a single untimed run compared to a T8 Delve – it’s silly to think they’re not engaging with it at all.

Why when its what the game director said that’s who delves was designed for as it removed the issues those players had with timers, forced group content, affixes and social anxiety issues.

The rest of that idea sounds pretty great to me though.

People doing a thing = popularity.

Clearly leveling is the most popular thing in the game. Literally everyone does it.

Meanwhile work is the most popular activity that any of us can think of irl!

No, that one’s actually 2.

Because it’s operating under the assumption that people who do have a problem with those things wouldn’t still engage with the system for its rewards, or to more swiftly obtain upgrades for their gear. People can and do engage with systems they don’t like for rewards they want.
