There is no benefit

The jokes that are being removed are harmless, the game is rated T for teens and above. I’m all for removing characters named after people fired for misconduct but spending Dev time removing and modifying innuendo is a ridiculous knee-jerk reaction. All it will get is people on one side saying it’s “Woke” over reaction and people on the other side saying it’s window dressing to cover the real issue.

Removing flirty dialog is not going to fix Blizzard’s “Cosby Suite” issue.

Don’t think there is a benefit for players, but there could be for those that produce the game.

Gonna stress the Could be. We don’t know. We aren’t them and we don’t work for Blizzard. What works for me might not work for everyone else.

It’s what that is for every aspect that take on this ‘pseudo’ progressive stance with their product or the product they work on. There will be more of this that will cause more of a divide within humans.

Ultimately it’s less done for the players no matter how much the 30, 40 yr old devs there want to justify it so they don’t get their little feelings hurt and more done in their crusade to remake the game because we all know that if we remove or change the previous thing, history, or whatever, that it will definitely help improve peoples experience, said no one ever .

It’s an ego trip to feel like they are making a positive change and that they helped make it… they are just  's

Then go play hello kitty island this game “Was” not for the easily offended, but i guess it’s come full swing, now the sex positive idiots are cheering on as they remove everything sexy about the game.

I am unsubbing from the game, in all honesty i have been idle since they added blue eyes to blood elves (different topic) but the game has not been fun for me since legion and i’ve watched the game run my friends out by every means, i was hoping this game would pull a ARR and reset everything but it looks like it’s going to do the bare minimum behind the scenes and pat it self on the back for sterilizing the game and removing everything that makes the game feel alive. P.s. they removed the sex jokes but kept the gross jokes, cringe humor is safe for another day i guess, good bye all i’ll miss you all

It’s not like they are using the entire team to scrub the game. And if they are, it should go by pretty quickly.

basic logic and reasoning, but that may be a stretch for you to grasp.

okay, i’m curious: what sort of logic/reasoning allow a person to conclude that something is “harmless”?

There is no benefit to crying like a child over minor changes either, but here we are

All they did to the den is add male NPCs and they’ve already said they aren’t touching transmog.

but still, the ones working in this changes could be doing new content
SL got even less content than BfA and only 8 M+

You putting your hand on the stove doesn’t hurt me at all, thus it is harmless. Basic logic and reasoning right there.

the same objective standard to deem them offensive?

Yes, there is.

This is concrete proof they can display in court that they are cleaning up their culture.

Bonus: they got their employees to do all the leg work so they can even say these game changes were at the behest of their employees so it is also proof they are now listening to and making changes based on employee feedback.

Unless you have been involved in a lawsuit, you have no idea how sleazy it gets.

Any judge/litigator would see through this is half a second, especially given all the stone walling Blizz has done during the two year investigation.

See thru what?

Everything is true. That’s the best part!

No one is claiming they’re objectively offensive. The people who have the power to change it said it bothered them so they changed it.

Isn’t it funny how one said says this bothers enough people that can change it so it will change while the other side tries to argue everything is objectively ok and people saying it bothers rhem are lying or just need to get thicker skin.
