There is literally no one that is 2400cr and probably MMR in Solo Shuffles

He has been the biggest blizzard fanboi since day one on the forums.

The bottom line is it’s just bad for pvp.

It doesn’t encourage people to play it discourages people.

Shuffle is suffering right now because shuffle was a terrible format that people only played because it didn’t require you to find partners, and now a superior mode is available to that end.

I just offer solutions. :dracthyr_love_animated: And maybe tease shuffle players when the bracket isn’t absurdly out of line. We’re honestly in a pretty okay spot now with only Blitz being too plentiful.

That’s a pretty delusional take. If 3v3 participation was like 15% lower, “rank 1” rating would definitely be mid 2300’s, thus under 2400. Again, just a completely baseless argument because who cares about what “rank 1” is if it isn’t the end of the season. You’re literally crying about what ceilings are like 30 days into a PvP season which is such a waste of energy lol

Quite literally the same as crying that “rank 1” is 1600 on the first day of the season rofl

So if this were to happen to 3’s like it did in DF S1 you’d be ok with it?

I’m not sure how long you’ve played… but when RBGs 1st came out people had mixed feelings about it, then when SS came out… same thing. Now with Blitz being the prominent casual mode, we’re seeing similar mixed feelings.

I’m a fairly casual player. So to answer your Q… I’d be fine with it… I always get what I get and I’m good with it. I try to enjoy my time on here… I try not to get hung up with my CR, MMR, or whatever.

I don’t think it’s the ceiling that’s the problem it’s the compression of good players it creates at very low levels.

Honestly nobody at 16-1800 should be running into R1 and blizzcon players but they are running into them frequently.

Crushing worse teams :white_check_mark:

Getting crushed by better teams :no_entry_sign:

Everybody gotta do placements some time and new expac wipes mmr.

Do you really think that’s fun for anyone and is going to create a healthy pvp community?

What’s your idea of healthy because you’re meant to queue into a mixture of teams to figure out where you’re meant to be

I get that everybody wants to queue and only ever win but that obviously can’t be the case

Yeah its quite literally not.

The problem is that compression of talent completely skews that theory and logic.

How

Well if there’s a ceiling all of these talented players who normally wouldn’t be at this rating are pushing down other people’s ratings creating more deflation.

So… Actually having a ceiling is pretty toxic for the pvp community.

People are playing weird comps people are gearing/capping just stop thinking about it

2.4 in RBG and 2.4k in 3v3? highest 3v3 rating is 2650 highest RBG rating is 2900~ (literally world #1 team)

what was your point?

i dont understand why we want mmr cap.

if they get their rating later in the season or now… what does it really matter?

wouldnt people play more alts if rating was a bit easier to get?

like a lot of people want the 1800 set

but if its too hard for them to get… wont they just unsub?

im a pretty mediocre player . i dont think if u uncapped mmr i would suddenly become 2.4k overnight.

the issue is really expectation of what the top of a ladder should be.

Should the top of the ladder be expected to be 3000? or 2400? or 2700? If the top of the ladder is intended to be 3000 then hardstuck 2400 means theres an issue.

really the solution is probably to go back to % based rewards at end of season.

Higher sooner, not as high later is probably ideal. The current issue is sort of that seasons are meant to be played out over a 5-7 month period where there’s the chill gearing, then a bit of climbing, and then finally the pushing.

But people log on and wanna blast asap. It’s just inefficient to do so.

The thing that’s out of peoples minds is 1) people sitting rating after a nerf and 2) people hitting walls and feeling discouraged early-mid season which is why there must be some semblance of inflation
