The Winter Queen and Elune

Renathal’s power is his sword. Shes either equal to or only slightly less than Remornia.

Doesnt matter who gave Ysera power, fact is a pet is something you look after and favour. That fits elune more then Eonar. Elune can very well be WQ’s sister. Or an unknown entity of dreams. Eonar doesnt fit either roles of sister or caretaker of Ysera. Where as Elune ticks alot more boxes. If its not Elune who is the sister then it wont be Eonar, it will be an introduced entity.

We did have help from the hourglass of time, in which present Noz was preventing future Noz from using.

PS I am aware of the necromancer above me.

Very very late to this one buuuuut since you referenced this legendary, did you know that in revendreth you get a legendary named after the Titan Norgannon? The memory of Norgannon is what it’s called by the way. By your logic does that make him Denathrius’ brother? Even though Titans are born in the great dark within planets, that they champion the cosmic forces of arcane and order and order the cosmos.

More than likely they’ll make up a random life lands being to be the WQs sister, but Eonar isn’t a fit here. She wasn’t born fully grown at the conception of the universe

First thing first, I don’t want to discuss about who is Winter Queen’s sister because writers put these clues about both of them in order to create confusion, so only them through a patch can give us that answer.

Very unlikely. There is already some lore about Ysera and Emerald Dream in the previous expansions, and invalidate that lore only to add a new entity in order to give Winter Queen a sister isn’t a smart decision, at least from my perspective.

It is worth to remember that Ysera is the ruler of Emerald Dream, there is hard to believe that we have a sister of an Eternal One as a ruler in a plane created by a titan watcher with the power of a titan. Even Lady Moonberry somehow confirmed this in that cinematic:

Lady Moonberry: Those who have dreamed by its side awaken with a joy and peace that whispers of wonder. If she dies… then all that is emerald dies with her.

Speaking about Freya, a titan watcher that was was imbued with power by Eonar, there are some connections between Winter Queen and Eonar through her.

  1. Freya created Emerald Dream and made Ysera the ruler of it. The Winter Queen is aware about Emerald Dream and seems that her realm have a connection with the Emerald Dream.
  2. Freya bestowed the powers of Eonar upon Ysera. Now Ysera is also empowered with the Winter Queen powers.
  3. Freya recognized the potential of Ursoc and gifted him with claws forged with titansteel. Ursoc soul is also part of Ardenweald afterlife video.
  4. Ashamane received her name from Freya when she was healed by the Titan watcher as a cub. Ashamane is also present in “Deal for a Loa” from Night Fae campaign.

There is lore that the emerald dream has been around before the Titans and their keepers appeared, and was only ordered afterwards. More than likely the emerald dream is an in between of Ardenweald and this garden of life place where we will have a summer queen.

The Emerald Dream is the blueprint for what Azeroth looks like before the titans ordered it, and as far I’m aware, that part hasn’t been retconned

Blizzard lore it’s all over the place.

Some lore say that Freya created the Emerald Dream from nothing. Other sources say that is a place already existed in a form, but as a dream born from Azeroth’s slumbering world-soul. So both of them are related to the titans.

I don’t think that Freya could reshape a realm of an Eternal One and give it to a dragon aspect to rule, when the latter is very likely a titan level being.

Are you sure about this? As far as I know, the Emerald Dream is created to serve as a underlying blueprint for Azeroth. That “underlying” word is important there because on top of it could be added changes by the intelligent creatures of Azeroth.

The Emerald Dream (also known as the Emerald Dreaming ,[1] the Dream of Creation ,[2] the land of dreams ,[3] or simply the Dream [4] or Dreaming [5]) is a vast, ever-changing spirit world that exists outside the boundaries of the physical world[2] and is the verdant realm of the Dragon Aspect Ysera. The Emerald Dream represents how Azeroth would have been if intelligent beings had not altered its surface,[6] or what the world might some day be again.[7]

I quoted the most relevant part for reference

Well there’s lore that also states that the emerald dream is a blueprint of Azeroth without any Titan or old god influences.

Emerald dream has had some retcons over the years

I explained already what underlying blueprint is.

Also, from that [6] link:

The benevolent titans created the Emerald Dream to serve as the underlying blueprint for the planet Azeroth. Located outside the physical boundaries of Azeroth, the Dream is a lush and primal forest: the world that Azeroth might have become, had it developed without interference from the sentient races (e.g., technological advances, urbanization, and wars).

Where?

Not necessarily retcons, because even up to Legion expac Val’shalrah is said to be the closest to what Azeroth would’ve looked like without any tampering, and that’s recent lore

Without any tampering of currently presented mortals, or without tampering of the Pantheon?

I think it would have to be “currently present mortals” because if the Zul’gurub you visit in the Other Side dungeon is meant to take place in the dream…well, you’re kinda fighting on top of a giant pyramid. Something had to have made that. :stuck_out_tongue:

Without any tampering, period, mortals AND titans. Because it does say if Intelligent beings hadn’t altered it.

That is… odd. Given that we have a glimplse at what Azeroth was before the Pantheon, aka Black Empire.

That might fit actually.

The Old Gods still altered the surface of Azeroth artificially. They may be crazy/insane by our standards, but they were still intelligent enough to build a empire.

Mortals.

Read again that to see who are these intelligent beings. That is from a link from one of your replies.
