Iâm very curious about this too, since my main (Druid/Leather) has been around for-freaking-ever and has done quite a few quests that either donât exist anymore or would be tedious to do all over again, such as the OG Loremaster pre-Cataclysm.
The article did say that the first time you log in it would take a while as it reconfigures all of your character and account data, so I would hope retroactive-quest-transmog would be included, but clarification on this topic would be highly appreciated.

There isnât even clarity on if the warband xmog will be backwards compatible. It never specifies and specifically says, âin The War Within any character can collect any item appearance, regardless of if they can equip the item or not.â

Well then⌠I feel silly for selling all the cool gear I couldnât unlock transmogs for on my main.

According to the article, yes. Quoted from the transmog section, between the pictures of the appearances window and the weapon transmog roll.
Existing gear in your character-level bank or bag inventory will be automatically added to your transmog collection when you first log into that character.
And thank goodness for this too. I have so much old RP gear on alts that donât âmatchâ the armor type from the class, Iâm glad it can finally be added to my wardrobe!
WHY FOR GOD SAKE IS IT STILL REGION LOCKED??? I have a EU and US account, i understand that i cant send stuff to other regions, but why is my collection, mounts, achivments not bound to my battle net? when i get twitch drops i get the item on both accounts too, there its not region locked why cant that be the case for other stuff, i just want my collection, mounts etc. on both accounts i dont care for currency or gold, just the mog and so on, blizz please

Use the item restore feature. Itâll mail you back any item youâve vendored or disenchanted, COD for the amount of gold/shards you got from it.

Please reconsider the Furbolg and Glimmerogg racing decision. The decision around the fantasy of this feels very arbitrary for two of the worst rep grinds in Dragonflight.

I actually have this gold sat around waiting to go, there arenât that many gold sinks in the game so this although is pretty high price, Iâm okay with it!
Please reconsider the decision around Diplomacy. Itâs an iconic and well-loved human trait. While some players might choose to play human to optimize reputation gains, most people will not change their race for this.

Derp, I somehow assumed you meant for recent Dragonflight gear, my bad. I totally feel your pain on this oneâŚso much old transmog Iâll have to refarm, because I vendored it even before the Wardrobe system came out to make it all account wide in the first place.
Still happy for the feature going forward, though.
Even moreso if they change their mind on tier/token appearances in solo legacy content (at the very least).

They are operating under the old adage that âgiven the chance, players will optimize all fun out of the game.â
But not realizing those who are prone to doing that are going to do it regardless.

I was hoping the character select would be updated to make seeing all/more characters easier. Scrolling through 40-something characters is gonna get annoying.
I wouldnât mind a t-pose option for the lols.
Please reconsider the notion of âtaxingâ currency exchange. This has always been an awkward part of WoW and Iâm not sure of the value when âplaying the accountâ vs. âplaying the character.â
